🎥📸 MEET OUR MEDIA TEAM! 💜

Capturing Stories. Honoring Voices. Redefining Masculinity.

At the Wellness Manhood Mini Conference: Creating Liberatory Masculinity Together!, our media team is doing more than documenting an event. They’re helping us build a living Healthy Masculinity Archive, collecting stories, reflections, and experiences that challenge traditional ideas of manhood and celebrate healing, accountability, and brotherhood.

🎥 Meet Albery Abreu, LMSW | ALBY BEATZ

A Bronx-based social worker, therapist, and multimedia producer with over a decade of experience supporting youth, families, and communities. Through ALBY BEATZ, Albery combines mental health advocacy with powerful visual storytelling, amplifying conversations around identity, healing, and redefining masculinity.

📸 Meet Edison Rivas | Photographer

A Dominican-born, Bronx-based photographer specializing in portraits, fashion, and creative storytelling. With a passion for capturing authenticity and individuality, Edison brings an artistic eye to documenting the beauty, vulnerability, and strength of our communities.

💜 MORE THAN MEDIA — WE’RE PRESERVING OUR STORIES!

Together, Albery and Edison will help capture the voices and experiences of our conference participants, contributing to the 100 Men Rising Healthy Masculinity Archive — a growing collection of stories exploring what healthier, more liberatory masculinity can look like across generations and communities.

🎤 Your story matters. Your voice belongs in the archive.

Join us in documenting a new narrative of manhood rooted in Love, Accountability & Brotherhood!

This week, we sent our third donation of essential food supplies to Black trans people and their families in Cuba. We are so grateful for all the contributions that make this possible. 🖤

We believe that with community initiatives like these, financial transparency is so important. Here’s a report back on how we’ve spent recently received funds.

As the community grows, so do its needs. $3,000 in food will likely last only about a month for a network of 20 people and their families. Every dollar that we receive goes directly toward supporting our siblings in the island. The help you all send allows us to keep showing up for our people.

If you’re able, please donate to our food sovereignty fund—every contribution counts.

We take care of us ✊🏾

Jamaica reminded me what it means to show up with intention and integrity. 🇯🇲✨

This past weekend, I had the honor of accompanying the Black Trans Travel Fund; a fiscally sponsored project of my organization, Reuniting of African Descendants (R.O.A.D.), in collaboration with ConnekJA, to stand in solidarity with our Black trans and gender-expansive family.

In the wake of the hurricane, we knew our work had to extend beyond visibility; toward action. We distributed resources, and care, creating healing spaces for those most impacted and often left out of the ecosystem from the start. Because when crisis hits, those already on the margins face a double impact.

Still, we rise. We organize. We love louder.

This was more than a trip; it was a testament that trans liberation, diasporic care, and joy are global movements.

Black August Teach-In 2026 was a righteous way to conclude our continuous effort towards Black Trans Liberation. Study, Fast, Train, Fight was the motto—but it does not end in August. Our event culminated with free books by Haymarket, a teach-in about George & Jonathan Jackson, and highlighting Black Trans political prisoners like Frances Thompson.

Arm The Dollz understands Black August is a constant reminder of the fight to take back what is rightfully ours. We must continue to organize against the capitalist prison, transphobia, and fascism.

Throughout August, the dollz read Chairman Mao Zedong, Cedric Robinson, and Frantz Fanon. We understand their analysis must be stretched to Black trans women to materially change our lives. Let’s build. Dm to get organized 🏳️‍⚧️‼️

We say none of us are free until all of us are free.

But liberation language means very little if the people most impacted by cages, criminalization, and state violence are only remembered in theory.

Black trans people do not stop being our community because they are incarcerated.

They are still worthy of care.
Still worthy of correspondence.
Still worthy of spiritual covering.
Still worthy of political commitment.
Still worthy of being remembered.

This Saturday, Reuniting of African Descendants (ROAD) joins Black Trans Travel Fund, Arm The Dollz, Black Trans Media, F2L Network, Sylvia Rivera Law Project, and community partners for A Black August Teach-In & Letter Writing Workshop in Solidarity with Incarcerated Trans People.

Together, we will gather to study the history and political meaning of Black August, ground ourselves in community, write to incarcerated trans people, share resources, and practice a solidarity that does not end at the prison wall.

Because abolition cannot only be something we say.

It has to shape who we remember, who we reach for, and who we refuse to let the state disappear.

Saturday, August 29
3–5 PM
The Free Black Women’s Library, Brooklyn

Free food. Free books. Free masks. Political education. Letter writing. Community care.

Come ready to learn.
Come ready to write.
Come ready to remember.

Our people are still our people, wherever the state has placed them.

Study. Fast. Train. Fight.

URGENT 🚨 ‼️

Our comrade is in need of funding for housing and other basic necessities! DONATE, SHARE, LIKE, COMMENT, etc to get the word out.

“Hello my name is Esmé and this isn’t easy for me to ask, however in the spirit of openness and in full belief and witness to community, I must. As a substitute teacher for the last few years I’ve run into a reoccurring issue. That which being the job drought every summer. This one in particular has bled into the start of the school year and I am currently stressing about, primarily, my rent for September and October. This is a particularly harrowing time to find work as an educated Black transfemme as many of us are being rejected off the basis of our existence without further look into our qualifications. It is at this time I look to you comrades and community to engage in mutual aid not as a favor or good deed but as praxis and resistance. We can’t afford or accept to have any more of us without home!”
