🎬“South Shore Sonata” a short film Directed by @kaylasullers

Thank you to everyone who attended the first Private Screening held at @studioshapeschi 🎺✨

This evening was filled with so much love, laughter and COMMUNITY‼️ It was more than a screening, this experience was designed as a celebration of activism, art and culture.

Guests enjoyed live music by @theromelsims , spoken word by @msmamaspen , complimentary drinks, and opportunities to connect with fellow creatives and supporters following the film.

I wanted everyone to walk alway knowing you can wake up everyday & have the audacity to push back against what society has instructed us to be & what society is instructing us to act.

✨Produced by Beauty Beyond The Lens and Jewel in Focus.✨

We look forward to sharing this special film with everyone who couldn’t attend this time.

We will be reposting and showing love to every submission, so don’t hold back.

Need ideas?
Our Co-Founder and team will be sharing ways to get outside and stay intentional, because this isn’t just about being outdoors… it’s about you too.

If you want the full list of activities early, comment Sisterhood and we’ll send it your way 🤎

Stay connected, stay outside, and stay grounded 🌿

Earth Day isn’t just about the Earth… it’s about us too 🤎🌱
For Black women, getting outside is deeper than a trend. It’s healing, it’s reclaiming space, it’s choosing ourselves in places we haven’t always felt invited into. That’s what Black Girls Outdoors is about.

This Earth Day, we’re doing it together.
We’ve got something special coming up with Woodland Child Development Center on April 22, and we want YOU to be a part of it whether you’re with family, your girls, your partner, or just you.

Can’t make it in person? We’ve got a virtual option too, so nobody is left out 🤎

Here’s how to tap in:
Post your outdoor moments leading up to Earth Day
You can post once, twice, or every day
Tag us so we can repost you
AND send it to us so you can be featured in our recap

Need ideas?
Comment BGO and I’ll send you the full curated list 🤎

Want to be part of something bigger?
Comment Sisterhood and I’ll send you the link to join us

Right now, when you sign up through our link, you’ll also get access to our email list so you stay tapped into everything we’re building
book clubs, walk & talks, hikes, wellness events, and more 🌿

This isn’t just an event… it’s a community.
Step outside. Breathe. Touch the Earth again 🌱

We’ll see you out there.

🌱✨ Come Grow With Us ✨🌱

In partnership with Woodland Child Development Center, Black Girls Outdoors is so excited to celebrate Earth Day with our community in a hands-on, meaningful way 🤍

This isn’t just about planting seeds… it’s about planting knowledge, wellness, and connection — especially for our families and our children 🌍💚

We’ll be getting our hands in the soil, learning how to grow our own food, and pouring back into the Earth while it continues to pour into us. From lettuce to herbs and everything in between, this is a moment to slow down, be present, and grow together 🌿

We’re also excited to have a special Q&A session with Aleia Lewis, bringing insight and education into the space ✨
And for our girlies who aren’t local — don’t worry, we didn’t forget about you 🤍

We will also have an online segment so you can still be part of this experience from wherever you are 🌎

Our Co-Founder will also be announcing an Earth Day countdown, filled with simple, intentional things you can do leading up to Earth Day and on Earth Day — so we can all stay connected and involved, no matter where we are 🌿✨
Whether you’re coming to learn, plant, connect, or simply be outside in good energy — this space is for YOU.

📍 Woodland Child Development Center
🗓 Wednesday, April 22
⏰ 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Let’s show up, get grounded, and celebrate the Earth the right way 🌎🤎

March 26th was more than just an event… it was a moment.
Our very first in-person event, Where We Meet, was everything we hoped it would be. Women showing up, being present, laughing, connecting… just existing together outside of the usual spaces we’re used to.

No pressure. No performance. Just real energy.
That’s what Black Girls Outdoors is about. Creating space for us to step outside, reset, and experience life in a way that feels full, healthy, and intentional.

This is only the beginning, and we’re so grateful for every woman who came and poured into this moment with us 🤎
If you’ve been looking for something different… something real… we’re building it.

I love nothing more than a girls night out ❤️ and 2026 God blessed me with a MULTITUDE of girls to hang with both from my organization and from all my networking!

We are killing the narrative where black women can’t come together more often !

I DO NOT OWN COPYRIGHTS TO THE MUSIC

02/25/26 @alt__chicago fashion show changed my life forever. It took me to dig down deeper than ever before, to trust God more than ever before, to let my hands go and create through him. This fashion show was 10 years in the making since my last one. 10 YEARS!!!

10,000 hours of learning, life knocking me down, renewing my faith, new relationships, and NEVER GIVING UP!!

I can’t thank @alt__chicago enough for this amazing opportunity @isaiah_fit30 for bringing this piece to life, and of course all of you reading this right now. YOU ALL have been God sent on this journey 🙏🏾🙏🏾

This wasn’t a return, but a REBIRTH! 🌞

TRUST GOD, TRUST THE VI$ION 😆🧵💫🏆🏁
