If you ever wonder, “Do I matter?” — the answer is always YES. ❤️

You are a child of God. You are beautifully and wonderfully made. You are loved, you are not alone, and your life has purpose. You never know how something as simple as a smile, a kind word, a little encouragement, or showing God’s grace might impact someone else.

Last spring, Carter was watching Bud play baseball at Benton High School. Bud’s walk-up song was A-O-K by Tai Verdes, and Carter decided he wanted the same song. This fall, I asked if he wanted to change it. His answer? “No, I want to keep it as Bud’s song.”

The relationship those two share is so incredibly special. Carter looks up to Bud, and I know Jamie is so proud. ❤️

And now, this 7th grader has already decided he wants to be an architect and has his college choices narrowed down to Arkansas and LSU. 😂 This NSU-loving mama is taking it in stride! His cousins Chandler and Emmalyn have clearly left their mark, and watching Carter light up on our recent trip to Arkansas — especially seeing Emmalyn’s work — reminded me just how much we influence one another.

You never know who is watching. You never know whose life you are impacting.

So if you’re in a hard season or questioning your purpose, remember: God loves you. You matter. You are not alone. And your life makes a difference. ❤️

Yesterday was such a wonderful day filled with baseball, family, friends, and so many reasons to be grateful. ❤️⚾️

We’ve had Beka, Kyler, and Banks staying with us since Friday evening, and having them here has been absolutely amazing. I love having my nieces and nephews around, and I cherish every minute with them.

Then, on our way home, Bud called and asked what we were doing. He happened to be in Natchitoches and wanted to stop by. My heart literally jumped with joy! 🥹❤️ There’s just something so special about having the people you love unexpectedly show up.

I truly love my nieces and nephews, and each one holds such a special place in my heart—even my adopted nephews like Bryson! 🥰

God has truly blessed me with the BEST family, and yesterday was one of those days I’ll hold close to my heart. So thankful for these people and the memories we get to make together. ❤️

Trust God With What’s Ahead

You may not know what is coming next, but God is already there. He sees every opportunity, challenge, and unexpected turn that lies ahead. Instead of letting uncertainty fill you with fear, place your future in His hands and trust Him to guide you one step at a time. God does not expect you to have everything figured out. He simply asks you to stay close, listen for His direction, and believe that He will make a way even when the path is unclear.

Bible Verse:

“I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.”

⚾️ Good luck to the Bossier Phillies American Legion Baseball Team as they continue their season! These talented young athletes represent communities from across the Ark-La-Tex, united by the mission of American Legion Baseball: building character, citizenship, and physical fitness through the great game of baseball.

We’re especially proud to cheer on these outstanding players pictured left to right: Cole Snell, Bud Burns, and Bryson Gates.

Wishing the entire team a successful season—play hard, support one another, and make the most of every opportunity. Go Phillies! 💙⚾️

Baby steps for Miss Hazel! 💦🐾 Today was all about building confidence in the pool. We’re taking it slow, letting her explore the water at her own pace, and helping her get comfortable with swimming. She may not be a pro just yet, but she’s getting braver with every splash! I have a feeling she’ll be making waves before we know it. 💙

Summer fun on the Cane River! 🌊☀️ Bud and Carter had an absolute blast cruising the river on the jet ski. There’s nothing better than making memories, sharing laughs, and soaking up these Louisiana summer days together. Watching these two have so much fun is what summer is all about! 💙

And just like that, Beach Trip 2026 is in the books. 🌊☀️🏖️

What a week it has been—lazy mornings with coffee, long days in the sun, family meals around the table, laughter that echoed across the beach, and memories we’ll be talking about for years to come. From golf and parasailing to paddle boarding, puzzles, wiffle ball, and watching Hazel experience the beach for the very first time, every moment was a reminder of how blessed we are.

The sand will wash away, the suitcases will be unpacked, and real life will start back up, but the memories made in Gulf Shores will stay with us forever. Grateful for every sunset, every adventure, and most of all, every minute spent together as a family.

Beach Trip 2026, you were so good to us. Until next time. ❤️🌊☀️
