Not a fan of Halloween but a fan of this one. This probably isn’t the end forever, but still something to celebrate. He’s a tough dog that deserves as much life as he’s willing to live #dog #dogsofinstagram #cancersurvivor #pitbullsofinstagram #bully

According to the current data from @embarkvet Trouble is 100% American Bully. It still bothers me knowing someone gave him up, and bothers me even more knowing how long it took for him to find a new home. He’s such a good dog. Now he gets to eat expensive ribeye and his lymphoma is in remission #americanbully #adoptdontshop #dogsofinstagram #newlife

As some of you know, Trouble was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. Our vet didn’t really stress the severity of lymphoma, so we almost lost our big boy. His lymph nodes were already swollen and they doubled in size over one night and he was having difficulty breathing. Luckily we were able to get him to an oncologist quickly and he’s feeling better than ever. So we made sure to get a photo shoot with our boys in case his time is limited. These dogs unfortunately experienced neglect in their past lives, but they never will again #adoptdontshop #rescuedog #pitbull #terrier #chihuahua #dogsofinstagram

🔊It’s National Puppy Day. So why a slideshow of seniors? When I look into the eyes of a shelter dog, I see something eternal and precious. I can see and love them for the puppy they once were and the beautiful being they are right now. They are all beautiful, they are all beloved. I often don’t know anything about their past. I don’t know if they had a family, or five families, or lived their life on a chain or alone in a yard. I do know that dogs have a remarkable ability to start over, to forgive and to trust again, to learn new things and to love. This remarkable capacity for love that we could learn from. And I know that they were once puppies and need us every bit as much as they did then. Here are a few of the ones I have loved over the past few years, in all their glorious beauty, every single one of them as gorgeous and precious and beloved as any puppy. Thank you to all who helped them be saved and loved. Pups: Queenie, Chester, Fawn, Daisy, Sugar Mama, Babalu, Jax, Bella, Darlin, Trouble, Pepper, Kerry, Rufus, Faith and so so many more. I 💜 you.

What we all need right are more uplifting things to keep our spirits up, and we think we have found it. Recently adopted Treble and his new best buddy Buddy have their own Instagram account 💜

We’re not sure many things are cuter than pitbull and chihuahua friendships! 🥰

Treble is now named Trouble (which was his original name at the shelter!) and these two just make us smile. Give them a follow at @buddyandtrouble 🐾

My breed has a bad reputation. People walk onto the street to avoid sharing a sidewalk with me. I get glares, stares, and gasps. Other little dogs are barking at me, but I look like the bad guy even though I’m completely still. What I’m guilty of is aggressive licking, hogging the couch, sitting on your feet, drooling obsessively, & never leaving your side. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Love and licks @buddyandtrouble
