If you’re in the middle of a feeding journey that feels impossible right now, I just want to tell you something I wish someone had told me.

Get the tube.

I know how scary those words are. I know because I cried over them too. I thought a feeding tube meant we had failed, or that this was the end of the road.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Watching Winnie get her pink back has been one of the greatest joys of my entire life. Before the tube, she was slowly disappearing in ways I didn’t even realize until I got to watch her come back.

We almost lost her due to malnutrition caused by severe ARFID.

Now I get to watch her grow. I get to watch her laugh, play, get stronger, and become more and more herself every day.

There isn’t a single day that goes by that I’m not grateful for this little tube.

It didn’t take my little girl away.

It gave her back to me.
