As single Christian women, we need to be discerning, especially when it comes to choosing a life partner. It’s important that we look beyond someone’s outward appearance, reputation or spiritual title, because not everyone is who they appear to be.

A person can be gifted, anointed and used by God, but that doesn’t automatically mean they are the right person for us. We need wisdom and discernment to recognise the difference between someone’s public gifting and their private character.

My prayer is that the Lord will help us to be discerning as we choose a life partner, and that by His grace, we will not be deceived or settle for the wrong person. 🤍

“Lower your standards and you’ll find a man.”

If you’ve been single for a while, there’s a good chance you’ve heard some version of this advice. And honestly, it might be one of the worst pieces of advice you can receive as a single Christian woman.

Because there is so much relationship advice out there that sounds wise, spiritual, or even well-meaning—but just because something sounds good doesn’t mean it’s actually good for you.

God is calling us, as believers, to live fully and die empty — to pour out every gift, talent, and purpose He’s placed within us, not take them to the grave.
