USWDGC Recap:

I’m incredibly proud to have been part of the team that hosted this event. It took an amazing community to pull it off, and everyone showed up.

Brighton is my baby, so I’ll start there. When we first hiked that mountain dreaming about a course, it was always about the friendships. What started as throwing frizzbeez with friends on the hillside has grown into something we never could’ve imagined. In a lot of ways, it’s still the same, just friends spending time together on the mountain doing what we love.

We built the course specifically for the FPO field. We wanted hot rounds of -10 or better, ace runs, eagles, and a course that rewarded great shots while still punishing mistakes. Watching filmed aces on holes that also produced bogeys for the best players in the world is fun disc golf. Looking back, I’d make a couple minor tweaks, but overall the course played just how I envisioned.

Huge thank you to Scott Belchak (@elevateut) for starting the partnership with the PDGA and bringing this event to Brighton. Scott doesn’t love the spotlight, but he deserves a ton of credit. Rob Bullen (@bullenrob) also made a massive impact. His experience from helping run the 2021 World Championships shaped so much of our planning. Without those two leading the way, this event wouldn’t have been what it was.

Another huge thank you to Ben Marolf (@anotherroundsaltlake / @ben_marolf) It’s hard to even describe everything he handled behind the scenes but it set the vibe perfectly. Ben is truly a special human and great leader for our disc golf community.

Those 3 played large roles, but this event was truly a team effort. Our entire LOC and volunteer crew put in countless hours planning, building, and fine tuning every detail. Across all 4 courses it really was such a huge success!

@mvpdiscsports has backed this course from the very beginning. It was such a good feeling to show them and the world what their support has turned into.

@brightonresort is such a special place, I knew that when I was a kid snowboarding here and it continues to be true. Thank you to everyone at Brighton that makes the resort what it is

USWDGC in Utah was a week I’ll never forget. It ended exactly how it was supposed to. I’m so happy for my friend @lisafajkus. We have pushed each other for so many years and I loved seeing her win her first major. Sunday wasn’t my day. Everything was just a hair off and that’s ok. It doesn’t take away from what an incredible event this was. I will forever have the special memories of being completely caught off guard with the announcement of being inducted into the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame and my 466’ Hole in One 🤪 What a week!!! 💛

HUGE HUGE THANK YOU’s to @bullenrob, @chazzle_throws, @anotherroundsaltlake and every single volunteer and staff member who made this so amazing! Thank you to @brightonresort for allowing us to come in and take over the mountain for a week. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to come back!
Thank you to Jay for carrying my @gripeq bag up and down the mountain! We made a great team! I look forward to getting a round in with all of you next time!

Last but never least, THANK YOU to my sponsors @innovadiscs @zucainc @idiosports and @gripeq
AND all of my friends, family and fans that show me love no matter what happens 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

2026 USWDGC in the Mountains!
⭐️Got to meet a lot of new people
⭐️Weather delay bonding in a yert
⭐️Made it through 1 of 4 rounds without a weather delay

After this weekend not sure what round or what day I did what but it was quite an experience. Despite the weather, the course was so beautiful and fun to throw. Big thanks to all the staff and volunteers out there all weekend.

Thanks, Rob Bullen! Awesome experience and introduction to Dinosaur Jr. You were the best host! I never heard of them, crazy considering they have been around since 1984. They kicked ass. The next concert is on me.
