One piece from a series I did with @trinamerryart
In August 2015 in Washington DC. This series was physically demanding, some days over 100 degrees heat, holding poses that relied on stamina and balance with another person. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Loved posing with @bulletstringer.
The Supreme Court was kind enough to let us paint on their steps...but not enough to let me use their bathroom. #hadtopee

Excited to share that nearly a decade later, it is in a show for the next couple weeks at @untitledspaceny
in Tribeca, NYC. Check out the show if you can!

Reshare from @trinamerryart :

🔹 Supreme Court 🔹 Created just before Trump’s 1st election, this performance was a statement of solidarity for women’s rights and reproductive justice. The piece has since been exhibited in several museums and galleries, including the Whitney Biennial. Among its notable collectors is a Planned Parenthood attorney, reinforcing its significance in the fight for gender equality and bodily autonomy.

This piece is part of UPRISE 2025: The Art of Resistance, an exhibition bringing together 100 artists who use their work to confront today’s political and social challenges. Art as activism. Art as resistance. Art as a call to action.

Grateful to have collaborated with @jessicameleon & @bulletstringer who brought such strength and presence to this work.

📍 The Untitled Space, NYC
📅 March 8 – Opening Reception 6-9pm
