monthly @grana.sydney trip feat. 1. freshly shucked oysters 2. wagyu beef tartare 3. malfadine, wagyu shin ragu notes this time round: flavour is good as always (I pretty much order the same stuff every time). personally preferred when the wagyu shin ragu was paired with pappardelle pasta more. was a pity we got the bar seating this time, much prefer the corner seat around the long bend. ⭐️ 4.6/5 📍Ground Floor/5-7 Young St, Sydney NSW 2000 w/ @bumbellasdiary

tenacious bakehouse feat. 1. black sesame latte (iced) 2. citrusy matcha black sesame latte (iced) 3. black sesame mochi croissant 4. almond croissant - 🥐 food: the croissants were presented nicely and showed great potential. a little warmer should have helped to bring out the flavours of the croissants, as they seemed to be quite faint at room temperature. 🍵 drinks: the citrusy matcha tasted like the matcha had been oxidised already and the flavour wasn’t really strong given the small ratio between the matcha and black sesame. the black sesame latte felt more like a light watered down sesame drink. 🖼️ decor: decorations were done very well with collections fitting to the “bakehouse” vibe that they were trying to create. 🤵‍♂️ service: service wasn’t bad, not too much interaction as it was an order at the counter type situation. ⭐️ 3/5 🏷️ @tenacious.bakehouse 📍101 Oxford St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010 w/ @bumbellasdiary

toei feat. $99 set menu house milk bread scallop tart baby cucumber kingfish sashimi potato pave ankimo parfait kingfish collar blk angus steak truss tomato raspberry sorbet - 🍲 food: the scallop tart was definitely the highlight of the night, the orange kosho inside gives it a nice citrusy note that blends well with the pickled radish. the potato pave and kingfish collar were also great, you could smell the aroma of the pave before it arrived at the table. 🖼️ decor: very simple decor, though very elegant. I really liked the three artworks displayed on the wall and the wooden furniture. 🤵‍♂️ service: the staff were very kind and responded really fast with requests. I would say they serve the food a bit too fast though. ⭐️ 3.6/5 📍shop 1 & 2/185 Campbell St, Surry Hills NSW 2010 w/ @bumbellasdiary
