An awesome few hours spent at the Great Western Air Ambulance base yesterday, meeting some of the incredible team, getting up close to the helicopter, and even seeing it land before heading straight out on its next mission! A huge thank you to the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (@gwaac) for inviting us along as a thank you for the money raised through the Christmas Convoy we organised last December. It never ceases to amaze me just how much it costs to keep this lifesaving service running – around £4 million a year, averaging six missions a day at a cost of around £2,300 per flight. 🤯 It's such a worthy charity, and as they say, it's good to have them... but you hopefully never need them. I know it's a bit early to mention the C-word... but who's up for another Christmas Convoy this year? 🎄🤭
