Much as I coveted this 18th C Dutch walnut and fruit wood marquetry cabinet (which wouldn’t likely even fit in our apartment), I had to settle for being a spectator at last week’s festive walkthrough of Jonathan Burden’s studio ahead of his latest Christie’s sale. Next time!

It’s been an absolute delight working with Jonathan Burden @burdenpicks on his fabulous collection, which is open for bidding @christiesinc !

What’s coming next . . . and to what the pugs will soon bid farewell. Instead of repeating the now-worn printed linen on the Jansen-style club chair I had made when we first took this apartment three years ago, we chose a different textile. Then, no big surprise, @reggiedarling asked for an altogether new chair, so now the frame we specified is complete and the upholstery should be wrapped up in a few weeks. Now, what shall become of the existing chair?
