Why does Orthodox Christian worship look so different from modern Protestant services? The answer lies in Holy Scripture, Holy Tradition, and the worship of the Early Church.

☦️ The Divine Liturgy is rooted in biblical worship, ancient Christian practice, the Holy Eucharist, sacred hymns, and reverence for the presence of God. While many modern Protestant worship styles developed during and after the Reformation, often emphasizing contemporary music, spontaneity, and personal emotional expression, Orthodox worship preserves a liturgical tradition stretching back to the earliest centuries of Christianity.

Worship is not simply about how we feel about God, but how the Church offers worship to Him in truth, reverence, and spirit. Emotion has its place, but it must not replace sound doctrine, sacramental life, and the faith handed down through the Apostles.

Repentance in the New Testament Greek is μετάνοια (metanoia), which means a change of mind, heart, and direction of one's life. In the Biblical Hebrew, the root is שׁוּב (shuv), to turn back or return. From this comes תשובה (teshuvah), return.

Thus, the soul is understood to turn away from sin and come back to God.

The word "sin" in Biblical Hebrew is connected to חָטָא (chata) which can be understood as "to fail" or "to miss the mark".

Thus, "to sin", understood in this way means to miss the mark of true life, which is found in Christ, the Eternal Logos and Son of God.

Therefore repentance is the return to that true and eternal mark, by turning away from sin and back to God, who gives us a new life, because man returns to his true human nature, which has been corrupted by egoism, pride, jealousy, envy, hatred, greed and all the other spiritual diseases of this fallen world.

In Christ, man therefore becomes truly human again because the corrupted image of God becomes restored and the soul is reborn, healed, and brought back to its true eternal purpose; Union with God, who is source of Love, Life and Immortality.

If someone did this in the past that's one thing but it's another when they start doing this and I'm not saying there's no guys that don't do this or girls that do this on our end. But the difference being when you have priests to correct them it becomes minimal.
I see lads talking on this issue with some trad or Ortho women The difference being that's a loud minimal number of people compared to the Protestant women that promote all these degeneracies because they don't have a solid foundation given to them.

Do I say they are to blame? I would say the parents are due to the fact that they have no solid foundation nor do they lead them in a proper direction. And obviously lads. I'm not going to pretend that males are perfect themselves either. And we do have this problem with Protestant males too. Because if you look at the single parent households this is basically more problematic
