This morning some of our amazing stylists donated their time to work with Mile High Behavioral Healthcare for their self-care day! Thank you for having us!
Mile High Behavioral Healthcare has empowered individuals to shape healthy, viable, complete lives. Our care is vital to those on the fringes of our community—individuals struggling to hold on and move forward. For high-risk, high-need individuals, there are significant barriers to services. We are there for them with life-changing care. “Life is more beautiful when you meet the right hairdresser.” #selfcare #beauty #haircuts #hairdressers #hairdressersofinstagram #burmanandco #cut #hairlove #denverhair #lifechanging

Today we wanted to share a throwback Thursday from a couple years ago now when our salon had the pleasure of starring in a show hosted by Dr. Phil called “House Calls with Dr. Phil”. It still seems surreal that we were part of this but it was an awesome experience! Shout out to Dr. Phil for doing this with us! #opportunities #memories #burmanandco #realityshow #drphil #tvstars #grateful #throwbackthursday

RITUALS

As Americans, we are a melting pot of culture.

Our diversity brings us many rituals that we often partake in, like Christmas, Sunday dinners, and sitting on the toilet scrolling through Instagram.

One of the newer rituals happening across America every Memorial Day, is a group of functional fitness fanatics getting together to perform a Hero WOD, named after “the patron Saint of fallen soldiers”, Lt Michael P. Murphy.

This is one of my favorite rituals, and I look forward to it every year.

Not because of the workout.

Not because I’m glad we lose people in battle.

Because for one hour, we get to be fully present in remembrance of those who gave their lives for our freedoms.

It’s not about you. It’s about them.

It’s the number one thing that will get you results in ANY area of life.

CONSISTENCY. That means putting in the reps. Over and over, until you get the result you’re looking for.

Little known facts about consistency...

1. It’s over a long time period. Not a few weeks. Not even a few months. 4-6 months minimum (depending on goals and where you’re starting from).

2. It means consistency across areas:
- Showing up
- Putting in effort
- Improvement (if you’re not improving you need a new strategy)
- Attitude
- Patience

3. Did we mention, it takes time?

What is one area of your life where you are already consistent?

What’s one are you want consistency?
