Karnataka Government has introduced the draft of Greater Bengaluru Authority (Parking) Rules, 2026. The new rules were meant to actually address the parking crisis in the city and not just build more parking spaces. But do these rules really achieve that? Read citizen journalist D S Rajakumar's full article on Citizen Matters website! Link in bio. ** As the rules are still in draft stage, you can raise objections to the draft till September 10. Write in to the Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development Department; or submit your feedback through @civis.vote's WhatsApp chatbot to make your voice heard!

🚌 It starts today. Nationwide launch of #DoubleTheBus. India has only 12 buses per 1 lakh people. That means longer waits, unsafe commutes, more traffic, more pollution — and it hits women, students, workers, and the elderly the hardest. Other cities show what’s possible: 🇸🇬 Singapore ~98 🇬🇧 London ~90 📍 India benchmark: 60 📍 India’s reality: 12 This is why citizens across India are coming together today — at bus stops, in their cities, in their communities — to demand better. ✍🏽 Sign the pledge: doublethebus.in 🙌 Join the movement. #DoubleTheBus #PublicTransport #UrbanMobility #CleanAir #SustainableCities #MobilityForAll #TransportJustice #RightToBreathe #IndiaNeedsBuses #ClimateJustice #AccessibleCities

Fewer buses mean: ❌ Overcrowded commutes ❌ More cars & pollution ❌ Women, students & workers suffering most 👉 It’s time to #DoubleTheBus. ✍🏽 Organisations & citizens can sign the pledge: doublethebus.in #DoubleTheBus #BusesFirst #BetterBuses #PublicTransport #RightToBreathe #CleanAir #MobilityJustice #PeopleOverCars
