I’ve never been more proud of a product as I have this summer at the Bushwackers. Countless hours, blood, sweat, tears, and much more were put into this show. Band has never made me work this hard. This is the first season in a while that I’ve come off the field at finals knowing that I gave everything I had, and that we put together the most difficult and effective cymbal book that we could achieve. Thank you to the Bush Plates and the Bushwackers organization as a whole, I don’t think I’ll ever have the opportunity to be this good at anything again.

All-Age medal counts, DCA and DCI, 1965 to 2026.

Slides 1 and 2: the top tier, DCA Open Class, then World Class, then DCI All-Age.
3 and 4: A Class, the smallest tier, from 1997.
5: Open Class as a middle tier, which only existed from 2022.
6: the DCI era alone, 2024 to 2026.

Reading Buccaneers lead with twenty two top tier titles. Hawthorne Caballeros have the most podiums at forty one.

Minnesota Brass took the 2011 title and hold five seconds. Cadets 2 won in 2016. Westshoremen won in 1996. Atlanta CV have five podiums without a title, the most of any corps in the tier never to win it.

A Class was DCA’s smallest tier, introduced in 1997, and it continues under DCI. Twenty six corps have placed top three.

Govenaires own it with six titles and eighteen podiums, placing top three in nearly two of every three championships ever held. Carolina Gold are next with three titles. Heat Wave have two titles and four seconds.

The rest of A Class. Nine of the twenty six corps here reached the podium exactly once.

Alliance won in 2008. Chops Inc won in 2005. Chieftains won the first A Class title in 1997. Erie Thunderbirds, SoCal Dream and Sun Devils each have two podiums and no title.

Note that A Class finals fielded only four corps in most years, and only two from 2001 through 2004.

Sappy end of season post incoming…
People think @james.randall1 and I are crazy for building the props, maintaining them, and helping prop crew every weekend of June, July and into August. When we say we are going on the 10 mini-tour, helping feed 150 members and staff, all while sleeping on air mattresses and working literal 16 hour days, people look at us like we are nuts. Honestly, it’s exhausting and there were some points this season that we both wanted to just quit, but we knew too many were counting on us. The props were a huge PIA, but when they were on that field, they looked amazing! I redid the spinny props and the watch multiple times, but the end results were pretty awesome! I 💗💙 being Mama Randall to all of our baby Bushwackers! I 💗💙 being the walking pharmacy (well not that much, but loved that they knew I’d help make them feel better). I’m not sure what we will do with ourselves now that the season is over. When people say that Bush is their home- we know why. The people, the love and the traditions. Until next time…skoBooooosh!!!! 💗💙
