I had the great pleasure of attending the Regency Romance Dinner hosted by @butlercafev at @orchestriapalmcourt earlier this year during fanime! If you're looking for an LGBTQ+ friendly space, entertainment and good food I highly reccomend their events! It was also a dream meeting some of the yaoi church cast, yamen. 🙏

We are so happy to share that @butlercafev is hosting a speed friending event!!! The creators/hosts of this event are known to many of us fujoshis and fudanshis as the Church of Yaoi, they do such a wonderful job of creating community. Tickets can be found in their bio!

In May I attended the @butlercafev regency romance dinner. It was the first time I've attended one of their events, but I'm sure it won't be the last!

From the beautiful location at the Orchestria Palm Court with all of its player pianos to the place settings and delicious food, there was so much attention to detail. They even had a vendor station to get a keepsake of the evening and you could buy raffle tickets to raise money for charity.

The butlers entertained us with interactive and engaging performances throughout the evening, making us feel like part of the story.

I made several new friends and also loved checking out everyone's outfits. I wore a regency dress that I made as did @freshfrippery and @pixel_stitcher . Can't wait for the next event!

Had a wonderful time at the @butlercafev event last weekend! I’ve lost count of how many of their events I’ve attended now. They are all so fun, and every event raises funds for critical community services in the Bay Area! 💖 #butlercafev #eglfashion #eglcommunity

I love being a main character on p*rn island. I can't even believe how much fun I had this past weekend. My heart is so full of love, I can't find the words. Thank you all so much to all of my friends for spending time with me 🥺🖤 Until next time!!!!!!

I had a most delightful time at the “Regency Romance” interactive mystery dinner party and show put on by my friends at @butlercafev , a butler cafe events group. When my friends and I arrived we were greeted by dapper butlers and treated to a delicious dinner and an entertaining show! There was drama, humor, mystery, improv, clues, and so much fun! We also were given little goodies to take home and there were raffles and merch of beautiful items because this event was also a fundraiser for the Santa Clara County Rapid Response Network. Cafe Butler V put on a wonderful event that promoted community and also gave back to it. This dinner took place during Fanime convention weekend so a lot of the guests wore cosplay and J-fashion too. I wore a Regency dress that I sewed. Did you recognize the reference to Princess Leia’s Cloud City outfit in my Star Wars historical fashion mashup? #costuming #regencyromance #butlercafev

Another splendid evening amongst good company, noble spirits, and worthy cause.

Always a joy to witness so much raised for charity through the efforts of passionate volunteers and a community that continually shows up with heart.

Much appreciation to the Butler V Café crew for once again crafting such an immersive and memorable experience during FanimeCon. The attention to detail, performances, hospitality, and atmosphere truly make it feel like stepping into another world for an evening.

Also grateful to the venue and all those behind the scenes who help make this beloved annual gathering possible year after year here in San José. Events such as these remind us how powerful community, creativity, and shared passion can be.

If thou hast not yet attended a Butler V Café event, I would highly recommend keeping watch for their future happenings.

Our Art campaign “Cosplay as Protest” continues! Our next feature is the Yaoi Pope themselves, Shaf @yuzuerror!

Shaf (they/them) is a cosplayer, designer and organizer in the San Francisco Bay Area who aims to bridge the interests of activism and fandom culture through their events, skits, and of course the Yaoi Church. Check out their page @yuzuerror and their organization @butlercafev !

“Cosplay as Protest,” inspired by the Mocha Man Style art exhibit of the same name, is an open challenge to cosplayers and consumers to view this craft through the real world lens of self-expression through art. Cosplay in and of itself is a commentary on the fictional characters we bring to life and the real world issues we navigate. Cosplay can not exist without a Cosplayer, and a Cosplayer is more than just their Cosplay.

Thank you to our awesome participants! DM @cosplayndraw to get involved!

Rough year for sure with health issues and my grandfather getting paroled, but focusing on the positives:
I made so many new friends, got back in to cosplay, built so many legos and took a lot of silly pictures with Logan and Eli, and have never felt so supported by anyone in my life as I have by my village of friends but especially Ciera, Erin, Kaitlyn, and Marie
Here’s to dressing up in costumes and hopefully a calm and boring year in 2026
