POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Before we show you the finished StART Concrete Barrier artworks, we’re looking back at some of the incredible artists who brought them to life. From first layers to final details, artists transformed concrete infrastructure into original works of public art, all while working out of a protected City of Toronto yard.

The program creates paid opportunities for Toronto artists while bringing art into the public realm and adding colour, creativity and storytelling to the city’s cycling infrastructure.

A huge thank you to all of the artists, crews and partners who made this year’s program possible.

Stay tuned! We’ll be sharing photos of the completed barriers out in the city later this month!

This project is possible through the collaboration of @start_streetartoronto, @cycletoronto and @to_cycling_ped.
