“The strength of a leader is measured by how many leaders he has made, not by the number of followers he has.” — B.K.C. Ndukwe

This is one of the core values of the Youth Creative Consortium (YCC): creating leaders who will create impact beyond themselves.

The Youth4Peace Dialogue is designed to solve one simple but critical problem: bridging the gap between prototypes and development.

Under the planning leadership of emerging YCC leaders, Pharm. Precious and Comr. Nguemo Grace Igbabul, who have been equipped through capacity-building programmes and continental experiences, this initiative represents the kind of leadership we are committed to building.

I formally endorse the Youth4Peace Dialogue and encourage you to secure your seat. Our partners across the continent have worked to make participation accessible, with subsidized early-bird tickets now available.

Are you a young peacebuilder, innovator, youth leader, entrepreneur, creative, or student? Then you have every reason to take this opportunity to connect with the people, ideas, and networks that can shape your career and impact.

And don’t worry—we are working to bring your role models, mentors, policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders to the table, so you can engage directly and co-create solutions together.

This is COLLABORATION for a more prosperous Africa.

Tomorrow Is Now!

This is your invitation to be part of a cause way bigger than any of us.

We are shaped by the choices we make today and this is us pulling up a seat for you at the Table.

Deputy Chairperson of our Youth4Peace Planning Committee, Nguemo Grace Igbabul, is personally calling on young leaders, peacebuilders, creatives, and innovators to answer it.

This isn’t a spectator event. We’re looking for people who want to get involved in building the future, not just watching it happen.

YCC 2.0 — Another Continental History

We made another history as we co-convenes YCC 2.0 — Silencing the Guns Conference alongside the President of Burundi and the African Union, on the sidelines of the 5th Continental Youth Peace and Security & Women, Peace and Security Dialogue in Bujumbura, Burundi.

The historic gathering brought together H.E. President Évariste Ndayishimiye; H.E. Angeline Ndayishimiye, First Lady of Burundi; H.E. Amb. Bankole Adeoye, AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security; H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ibn Chambas, AU High Representative for Silencing the Guns; senior government officials, including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Youth, and other distinguished continental leaders.

The opening of the Continental Dialogue was held on 10 August, while on 11 August, YCC 2.0 took centre stage, amplifying the role of creativity, innovation and youth-led approaches in advancing peace and silencing the guns across Africa.

As the Convener of @youthcreativeconsortium_ I expressed my profound appreciation to the President, Government and people of Burundi for their warm hospitality and support in hosting this landmark continental dialogue. I also extended special appreciation to the African Union, particularly PAPS, for the opportunity to co-convene YCC 2.0 at such a significant continental platform.

Congratulations to Africa. Congratulations to the young people building the Africa we want.

TOMORROW IS NOW.

This is how we get the scent just right. @byguemo doesn’t send our formulas somewhere else to be made; months of calculations, formulation and testing went into every accord before it ever reached a bottle.

Every scent in the unity collection is manufactured in-house, from the first accord to the finished bottle.

This is the chemistry of byguemo. Each one, hand made with care. 🤍

On Saturday, I sat in a room that reminded me how powerful safe spaces really are.

The Breakfast Circle was a space to pause, to reflect, and to really talk about the things we hide behind our smiles and productivity.

Thank you Victor Bello and Grace Nguemo for curating such a warm, intentional space.

We need more circles like this.

More spaces where we can say, "I'm not fine" and not feel shame.

More spaces that remind us that being human isn't a weakness.

If you ever get the chance to attend The Breakfast Circle, don't think twice.

(And it's cheaper than therapy lol)
