As September draws to a close, I’m reflecting on a month of progress, creativity and little pause ✨

1-4. My lovely friend Steph invited me to her exhibition last night and it was such a joy to see her work displayed so beautifully. The pieces were breathtaking, layered, thought-provoking and full of emotion. The setting and atmosphere made it even more special. I left feeling proud of her and truly inspired. Huge congratulations, Steph – if you’re looking for beautiful artwork, she’s one to follow. 🤍

5. Brook Cottage moving forward – doors fitted, views opening up, bathrooms planned and chimney breast samples laid out.

6. Bonnie turned two – a grumpy girl in her hat but the sweetest soul 🐶

7. Project Orton – joinery cushions, window dressings, lighting and furnishings now in place.

8. My studio finally coming together – samples organised, furniture on the way, light at the end of the tunnel! Rug still to be selected- possible option sneak peak on this image 👀 ✨

9. Rock House – kitchens in, bathrooms nearly complete.

10. Antique treasures found whilst sourcing a dining table for Brook Cottage.

11. Stair runner designs chosen – a small detail that will transform the space.

A month full of work, a little light on play – but filled with moments I’m proud of. I’d love to know, what stood out most for you this September? 🪄

Every home’s secret luxury: the boot room 🫶🏽

The finishing touches went in today - a charcoal-striped bench cushion, patterned decorative cushions, and a beautifully trimmed woven blind - and the space is now complete. Isn’t it everyone’s dream to have a boot room like this?

We paired a rustic patterned tile floor - a fun yet practical contrast to the rest of the home - with soft, grounding tones. The walls in Stone II by Paint & Paper Library and the joinery in French Gray by Farrow & Ball balance the characterful flooring perfectly, while antique brass hardware adds a timeless finish.

Texture was layered through woven baskets, a mix of striped, linen and tweed cushions, and carefully chosen fabrics that tie the whole scheme together. The result? A functional yet characterful space that feels as inviting as it is practical. ✨

A narrow room split by two doorways provided a tough design challenge. The island linking the two halves of the room solved the issue, introducing a perfect preparation surface along with an informal eating area in this charming Shropshire cottage
