AD / Sunday roast recap: Birmingham Jewellery Quarter edition! 🍗

Quick recap of our first stop on the roast hunt this year: @buttonfactorybirmingham in the JQ.

🥩 The “Ultimate Roast” (£26) was the star. A chonky serving of beef, chicken and Old Spot pork belly, all bloody sensational, with proper thick, generous gravy that tasted of all the meat juices 🤤

Wood fire roasted carrots & parsnips, herb roasted potatoes, buttered broccoli & hispi cabbage and a proper Yorkshire pud. A feast if you’re staaaaarving, and a glass of red was spot on alongside it.

Other main options for Sunday roasts: sirloin beef (£21.50), free range Yorkshire chicken with chipolata (£18), dry aged porchetta (£19.50) and a sweet potato, field mushroom & lentil Wellington (£17.50).

Add sides like cauliflower cheese, XXL pigs in blankets and spinach gratin. The small plates (king prawn tostada, crispy calamari, whipped feta) look tempting too 👀

⭐ Verdict: proper filling, full of flavour, and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Strong start, and the bar is now set HIGH. Everyone also loved the cookie dough dessert, so gooey, warm, oozy and a must-scoff!

Where should I try next? Drop your Birmingham roast recommendations below, pleaseeeee.

AD / Sunday roast mission: Birmingham Jewellery Quarter edition!

On the hunt for the best roast around (again!) this year, and we’re starting off at @buttonfactorybirmingham in the JQ.

🥩 The “Ultimate Roast” is £26 and comes with a chonky serving of beef, chicken and Old Spot pork belly which was bloody sensational, and the gravy was proper thick and generous. You can taste the little bits in it like it’s all the meat juices 🤤 It comes with wood fire roasted carrots & parsnips, herb roasted potatoes, buttered broccoli & hispi cabbage and a proper Yorkshire pudding. An absolute feast if you were Hank Marvin like we were. A glass of red alongside my main was spot on.

They have a kids menu too and the little ones had their own beef versions / penne pasta. I’ll be posting a photo version of the menus in the next post so swipe across to see all dishes and costs. Bambino menu also has goujons, pasta, fish fingers & chips and cheesy beef fajitas. Puds are solid too.

For the adults, there’s also a solid sirloin beef option (£21.50) or a free range Yorkshire chicken with chipolata (£18) dish, dry aged porchetta (£19.50), a sweet potato, field mushroom & lentil Wellington (£17.50) and an “Ultimate Roast” (£26) with beef, chicken and Old Spot pork belly like we had.

Sides to add: cauliflower cheese, XXL pigs in blankets and spinach gratin. Snacks and small plates like king prawn tostada, crispy calamari and whipped feta look tempting too. 👀

Filling, full of flavour, and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Strong start, now the bar is set HIGH.

Worth noting everyone loved the cookie dough dessert, it’s soooooo gooey and just melts so nicely. A must-eat!

🐀 🍽️ Anyone who loves food and films NEEDS to experience this! 🎬

What if you could actually eat your way through a film? 👀ad

We headed to @tastefilm at @buttonfactorybirmingham in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter for their Ratatouille experience, and it’s such a fun twist on dinner and a movie! 🐭👨‍🍳

As the film plays, you’re served dishes inspired by what’s happening on screen, so your food and the story unfold together. Expect themed cocktails and mocktails, plus plenty of interactive dishes that make you feel part of the action. 🍸🍴

It’s immersive dining with a difference. I took my mum for her birthday, but it’s also perfect for a date night, a foodie experience or something a little different to do with friends.

And the fun doesn’t stop with Remy! Taste Film hosts experiences inspired by other films too, including Pulp Fiction and the festive favourite Elf at Christmas time🎄

💬 Which film would you love to experience through food?Tell us in the comments! 👇

Tag the person you’d take with you, and share with someone who loves films, food or both!
