Year two!

1. I was fortunate enough to be able to direct my original play “Laugh ‘til You Cry” in Studio One Acts “Lost and Found”. This won Gabriel Sokolowski, my technical director, and I the best studio one act award. Photos by Brandon Sholes.

2. I performed for the first time as a romantic lead in “The Importance of Being Earnest”.

3. I wrote my second full length play, “The Ends of the Earth”, in honor of my friend Adam Bell and performed a stage reading of it in the UCM Blackbox. In my opinion this is the best work I’ve written.

4. I attended the American College Theatre Festival in Rochester, Minnesota. There my ten minute play “Bedtime for Borz” was selected as one of the top six plays in the region. I was Hannah Vath’s scene partner and she ended up WINNING the regional competition! We competed virtually against the top seven other actors and scene partners in the country and Hannah won the Classical acting award and the Mark Twain comedy award! THIS IS THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF COMPETITION WE COULD HAVE MADE IT TO IN COLLEGE.

5. I put on three realized works and one staged reading in my night of original work “Playsencio”.

6. I performed as Mr. Hart in “9 to 5” which was my final Main Stage college performance.

7. I had my last performance as a team member on the Shenanigan’s Improv Team. Which was in fact John themed, haha.

8. Hannah and I graduated college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre Performance for me and a BFA Musical Theatre for her after meeting so many incredible people at the University of Central Missouri.

Thank you God and everyone who cheered for me along the way.
