Calling all surfers, skaters, and filmmakers! The Stay Salty Surf and Skate Short Film Festival is at the Bay Theatre, November 2nd at 5:30pm. For one night only, let’s celebrate surf and skate culture, our community and independent film, while raising funds for the Morro Bay High School Surf Team. If you’ve created a surf, skate, snowboard, or bike film submit your film for a chance to be screened! It doesn’t have to be fancy! Throw some clips together, add some music, and submit through the link in the bio. This event will also kickoff the Kickstarter campaign for Salty, the feature-length movie. Official selections will screen with an encore of Salty followed by award announcements! Here’s the best part. Our official sponsors will be judging the films! They are Azhiaziam, Forever Stoked, Cayucos Collective, Shane Stoneman Surfboards, Wavelengths, The Craft Surf Supply, and CCS! The award categories are:

1. Best surf film
2. Best skate film
3. Best trick
4. Best cinematography
5. Judges favorite
6. Audience “Core Lord” Award
7. Party Crasher Award (snowboard, bike, bodyboard, sandboard, etc.)

Ticket price $10. Merch booths and local beverages from @shindigcider and @buzzysmead at the event. Deadline for submissions October 15th. Stay tuned and stay Salty! 🤙
