I recently completed this mural for the City or Stirling, which incorporates their new branding for the Scarborough Beach precinct. I wanted to include all of the things that make Scarborough great, such as rad venues, live music, skating/surfing and time spent with family and friends.

Thanks to the team at @citystirlingwa for putting this together, and to @mia_kretzer and @ihatemill for letting me include them as well. I had an absolute blast painting this one, and it was made extra special being able to include my eldest daughter Imogen in the design too.

Special mention to @jakestone._ for the huge assist and @bwallmedia for capturing the process perfectly!

It’s moments like this, hearing the crowd sing back, that make me so excited to be playing live again.

i set a mission for myself a year ago, to bring drum and bass to cities in australia that don’t normally experience it, to inspire DJs and promoters in the scene and help lay the foundation for the local underground scene because yes a lot of the bigger cities have larger scale dnb shows but it all starts with the underground, a big reason why the perth scene is so strong is because promoters and local artists have been paving the way for years, something which i want to inspire promoters and local artists around the rest of the country to do.
i haven’t even scratched the surface with what i want to achieve with this yet but i want to give a shoutout to all the amazing people i’ve met through this journey, i fell a little out of love with electronic music a few years ago but seeing how much it means to the people who rarely get to experience dnb in a live setting and never get to perform it and being in a position where i can actually give them that, has helped bring that love back,
from watching @tsv_dnb build the townsville scene into one of the fastest growing in the country, to working with @danceandbites in melbourne to get DJs up on stage with me for the first time, to playing one of the most ridiculous raves i’ve ever been apart of in a tassy with @psy.on.events or giving the people at @shockwave_cairns one of their first dnb experiences, or @rabbitseatlettuce being one of the first to push dnb on the big stage out in the bush, these are some of the promoters doing absolute bits for the culture right now,
special mention to @redhillauditorium for putting an absolute heater of a night for the locals
so what city next? 🦘

Taking drum & bass out of the city and using it as our backdrop

DON DARKOE, BLKOUT, TERRENCE & PHILLIP joined us on the top deck under the stars for our first ever D&B event at Red Hill Auditorium.
After a sucessful first show, we are busily programmming more for next summer.
