In 2019 Richard then undertook a bailiff role at a recently revived Lofts Lake Syndicate, which is a 25 acre ex-gravel works located in Heybridge, Essex. Itโ€™s fair to say Carp Social took a back seat during this time as Richard was focused on building the fishery. Richardโ€™s involvement helped re-brand the fishery, build the website and manage membership enquiries for the syndicate. During this time he developed an amino rich feed bait which promoted healthy weight gains in the stock of resident carp. Lofts Lake had never produced a 40lber before and in a short space of time, by the Autumn of 2019, the lake contained three 40lb common carp! The skills and lessons learnt during this time period were invaluable and he gained a wealth of fishery management knowledge, bait making skills as well as an insight into the headaches and heartbreaks of fishery politics. #commonoccurrence #itdawnedonus #mirrorimage #loftslake

CATCH REPORT ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Ben White bailiffs at a local syndicate lake in Essex. He rarely gets the opportunity to wet a line at the venue but decided to make some time this weekend in the hope of a bite or two. It goes to show hours spent watching the water certainly results in more bites because what is typically a 1 or 2 fish venue has produced no less than 8 carp including multiple 30โ€™s to 33lb+ for Ben in less than 48hrs. Mega angling as always mate! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿค“ โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” For your chance to feature in this months Carp Social send your images to catchreports@carpsocial.com or upload them to our website at www.carpsocial.com/upload โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” #carpsocial #catchreport #carpfishingholidays

#tomatotuesday MICRO TOMATO ๐Ÿ… These will all grow to a maximum height of 30cm. The final pot size will be two litres. Produce very early on in the season and even given the size of the plant they still produce a fantastic amount. This year I've increased the varieties available. Over 10 varieties will be available this Autumn ๐Ÿ’š www.bwhitesveg.co.uk ๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŽƒ Field pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) Cucurbita pepo is a species that includes eight groups of edible plants and one inedible variety. They differ in shape and color, primarily with regard to their fruits. They include acorn, cocozelle, crookneck, pumpkin, scallop, straightneck, vegetable marrow, zucchini, all of which are widely used in cooking, and ornamental gourds, which serve for decorative purposes. Care tips: ๐Ÿ’ง Cucurbita pepo needs a lot of moisture. Donโ€™t forget to water it for the soil to be constantly moist. Water around the plant, not over it. ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Many of the above-mentioned plants are associated with fall, but in fact, they love warmth and should be seeded when the soil temperatures reach at least 65ยฐF (18ยฐC). They feel best at 50 to 90ยฐF (10 to 32ยฐC). โ˜€๏ธ Cucurbitas need lots of sunlight in the process of development. Provide them with six hours of direct sun every day for them not to have growth issues. ๐ŸŒฑ A high-quality fast-draining potting mix is key to your plantโ€™s booming growth. The soil you go for should have good water-retaining and water-draining properties. Because on the one hand, cucurbita pepo canโ€™t do without large amounts of water, but on the other hand, water stagnation may cause root rot, which has a detrimental effect and may lead to disastrous consequences. ๐Ÿ’ฆ Medium (40-60%) ๐Ÿชด Repotting: Not needed ๐Ÿ’Š Use a liquid fertilizer every couple of weeks during the growing season.
