Day 10: @bxujii

I have to say time and time again. There’s nothing like seeing a fellow black woman shine. The night was so wholesome and it was amazing to hear the inspiration behind the songs. Thank you for opening the space for us to hear your work and I can’t see where it takes you next ✨

Btw my artist colour is red so you know the connection was real 🥹✨

Bxujii’s It Begins With Me is more than just an EP. It’s a journey through vulnerability, healing, confidence and finding your own sound.

From the stripped-back “Home” to the energy of “Rain”, Bxujii takes us through different sides of herself while building a sound that feels distinctly her own.

We’ve shared our thoughts on the EP on Cedar Music.

“It Starts With Me”

I had the pleasure of working with @bxujii , one of my oldest clients, on the visual assets for her debut EP, It Starts With Me.

For this project, I developed the custom title lettering for the EP, working around the expressive feel of the project and building a type treatment that could live across the different campaign assets.

I also worked on the album artwork, tracklist design and listening party poster, carrying the visual language across each piece while keeping each asset distinct.

Really enjoyed working through the different directions and seeing the identity come together across the rollout.

Super grateful to have been included in this one. ❤️‍🔥
