♻️ FEATURED ACTIVITY: Upcycled Denim Pocket Tote What happens to the garments that don't make it through quality control? At OPEN HOUSE, you'll find out, and help give them a second life. Join Pistachio Playground for a 15–20 minute workshop where you'll transform reclaimed denim into a one-of-a-kind pocket tote. Along the way, you'll learn a little about the fashion production process and how creative reuse can keep beautiful materials out of the landfill. As a bonus, every participant will receive a free stick-and-stitch patch to continue customizing their tote in the Activity Garden! Meet Pistachio (Esther Chan), the designer behind Pistachio Playground, a Torrance-based studio specializing in cut-and-sew apparel, knitwear, and houseplant-inspired home goods. Through her clothing line, Pistache, Esther designs with natural materials, thoughtful construction, and playful comfort in mind. They had been snuggling and snoozing all day 🥹 I went out to check on them a few times today and each time they look back with those boba eyes 🥺 - so so cute! Then in the middle of the day it started sprinkling 😭 so i put a little plant on top of them to hopefully shield them from the showers. As much as I’m going to miss them, we can’t let them stay here, so if you know any wildlife shelters in LA please drop a comment below 🙇‍♀️ Any help / information will be appreciated! ✨ I didn’t want to startle them so soon since they already had a stressful day, and it was rainy here most of the day. I am kind of hoping once it gets dark the mommy will feel comfortable moving along with her babies. I am however very excited to document this little encounter with art, which is what I can do - not so much wildlife rescue lol. Mother’s day is coming up, perhaps a little Happy Mother’s day design would be fitting for this brave little mommy! 🥹💕 #awesomepossum #babypossum #wildlifeencounters
