Nashville, September 18, 2026 — Beginning with the premise that design should raise questions and not just answer them, Augustinas Paukštė @paukste from @byandstudio walked us through a series of projects that demonstrated how that genuine sense of curiosity informs their approach. But more important than that to andstudio is perhaps the least sexy thing for designers: DATA. For them, data has been an important tool to sell creativity and defend it against big clients who are not necessarily interested in paying a premium for it. Also, data can help you survive — when a shitstorm is on the horizon, nothing is more important that data to weather it. Note that Instinct starts the idea. And Data sharpens it. He also shared that for all businesses, innovation matters more than ever — through disruptive ideas AND the continuous day-to-day improvements. And those who embrace a culture of experimentation and are open to continuous learning are the ones most likely to thrive. And maybe generate some super fans. They are built different. As someone who loves a good spreadsheet it gave me great joy to find a kindred soul in Agustin and if anyone out there shares the same passion, let’s chat. — #BNConf2026 #UCllc #BrandNew #Branding #Conference Photos by @sofianegron

Whew! I’m back from two jam-packed, inspiring days at the Brand New Conference in Nashville, and I’m half exhausted and half reenergized. 😅 I heard from so many thoughtful speakers, saw exceptional work, explored new ideas, reconnected with old friends, and made plenty of new ones; always my favorite part! I was especially proud to support our client Josh Carnley of Matey, along with my New York friends Aneesh Bhoopathy of Forge and Jessie McGuire, and to hear each of them speak. As always, Armin Vit and Bryony Gomez Palacio did a fantastic job curating a diverse, inspiring lineup of national, Nashville-based, and international speakers, many of whom were new to me. One fun observation: “World-building” seemed to be the phrase of the conference. Several speakers used it to describe what they do or what sets their work apart. What do you think? Is “world-building” the next big buzzword?

Miškobank man per vieną mėnesį tapo dar vienu gražiu to įrodymu.

Mostai by andstudio @byandstudio Mostai is a new padel club in Vilnius that rethinks what a sports club can be. It is not just about competition. It is about sport, conversation, rest, and shared moments. Alongside the courts you will find a kids academy, physio sessions, film nights, and degustation dinners. Community is the real focus. Even the name comes from a casual Lithuanian word for a racket swing, giving the brand a sense of ease and effortlessness.

Noticed something different? 👀   We have a new look.   Together with @byandstudio we refreshed the Institute’s visual identity to make it brighter, more contemporary and more reflective of who we are today – a vibrant, curious and constantly evolving community.   New colors, shapes and a new visual language will now follow us everywhere – from your feed to the spaces of the Institute.   Because it is not only about how we look. It is also about how we tell our story.
