Therapeutic Kitchen Collective: May Festival 2026 – From Our Table to Yours 🌿

This month-long festival is a global series of sessions celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month, exploring the connection between food, creativity and wellbeing✨

Throughout May, facilitators from around the world are hosting a range of sessions, from cooking workshops and creative practices to conversations and wellbeing experiences, all rooted in the idea of the kitchen as a space for connection, healing and nourishment!

I spent quite a bit of time recently sitting in airport lounges, waiting for flights, watching people who, on the surface, look like they have their lives together.

Business class tickets. Quiet confidence. Laptops open to emails, calendars, messages that clearly matter. People who are organised, capable, used to making things work.

What stayed with me was not any dramatic moment, but something much quieter.

An underlying tension in people who are doing well and still carrying a lot. Not stress in the obvious sense. More like a constant internal alertness. The sense that if they stop holding everything together, something might unravel.

On the flight back from London, I ended up talking to the man next to me. Very successful. Respected. Someone you would naturally assume has already made it.

At one point he paused and said, very simply, that he no longer knows how to grow from here. That he can feel changes are needed, even if he cannot yet name what kind.

There was no drama in it. Just clarity mixed with uncertainty.

These turning points rarely come when things fall apart. They come when life and business are actually working, and yet something inside is shifting.

In January, together with @bychefeva / @the_inbetween_kitchen, I’m holding a small, focused half-day experience called The 8% Shift, for people at this exact point, when nothing is broken, but something needs to change.

There is something about this time of year that brings up so many feelings at once.⁠

People tell me they are tired, thoughtful, overwhelmed, hopeful, and stretched in too many directions.⁠
It becomes harder to hear ourselves clearly when life feels this full.⁠

I want to offer a small pause for that.⁠

A quiet morning in London where we slow everything down, look inward, and create a little more space to breathe again.⁠
⁠
For the first part of The 8% Shift Salon, I will guide a very small group through a gentle clarity reset.⁠
Nothing heavy. Nothing dramatic.⁠
⁠
Just the kind of inner work that helps you see what is really going on beneath the surface and reconnect with what truly matters to you.⁠
⁠
After that, the amazing chef and mindful host @bychefeva Eva Furikova will prepare a grounding meal that helps you settle and integrate what shifted.⁠
Her presence and food have a way of bringing people back into their bodies with warmth and ease.⁠

Each Salon runs from 10:00 to 13:00, and you can choose either Saturday 22 November or Sunday 23 November.⁠
The contribution is £180 per person or £320 for two if you would like to bring a friend.⁠

🎷 A huge thank you to everyone who came to see us at the Newington Green Jazz Festival on Saturday! 🎷

It was such a joy to see some familiar faces from the treatment space popping by to say hello and support us — we really felt the love. 💛

This was Clinical Massage London’s very first chair massage event, and it was a real eye-opener! Even with years of experience as Level 5 Clinical and Sports Massage Therapists, chair massage was relatively new to us — but we were really loving how effective it can be.

Thanks @jingmassage for prepping earlier this year with the event chair massage course ..it was so worth it!

💆‍♀️ We treated a huge variety of people on the day, and it was fascinating to see how much you can do for back, neck and shoulder pain, even in a short seated session. While it’s just a taster of what’s possible on the table, it was so rewarding to offer immediate relief and connect with people in this way.

We designed the gazebo just a month ago — and were genuinely thrilled with how it turned out! The whole festival was buzzing with life, thanks to incredible jazz performances curated by the @newingtongreenaction, the local charity we were raising money for, and who organise this festival every year to showcase an eclectic array of local businesses.

It felt amazing to be part of something so full of local spirit. We loved meeting local residents, sharing what we do, and becoming a deeper part of the community.

🌟 Thank you again to the Newington Green Action Group for having us — we truly hope to be back at next year’s festival!

🌞 What an incredible day at the Newington Green Jazz Festival! 🎷💆‍♀️

We had such a great time meeting so many lovely locals, offering taster sessions of clinical and sports massage, and chatting with people about how massage can help with pain, stress, and wellbeing. 💬💪

Our little booth was buzzing all day — and thanks to everyone who stopped by, entered our raffle, asked questions, or hopped in the chair for a 20-minute massage! Together we raised £210 for the amazing @newingtongreenaction, delivering 21 chair massages (£10 from each going directly to the charity). ❤️

A huge shout-out to Diane Croskin for bringing her brilliant skills to the day, and to the wonderful @bychefeva, a dear friend who tirelessly told everyone about who we are and what we do — we truly couldn’t have done it without you. 🙌

And congrats to our lucky raffle winner, who bagged a 60-minute massage at our beautifully cool, air-conditioned clinic just down the road! ❄️✨

We loved being part of this event and are already looking forward to next year. Thank you to everyone who made it so special. 💛

A week since the most wonderful afternoon celebrating 5 years of Bake Well Being🥹🥰

I want to say a massive thank you to every part of this beautiful community✨ Friends I have made here through your support from Dubai, to Canada and across the United States, from Wales to Germany and Switzerland. I am so grateful for you all 🫶🏻

And it was the most wonderful thing to be able to bring together a few of those fabulous people for this special occasion👆🏻

It couldn’t be more fitting as last week was Mental Health Awareness Week the theme this year was actually community!

I was on a MH First Aider briefing call the day before the event and they were really delving into the power of community and what it does for our brains and mental health and I was thinking that’s exactly what THIS is🥹

A few special thank yous to the amazing people who helped make the day happen!

Talaat and her team at @wolfbalham - for offering me their beautiful space, for letting me design the cocktails, and basically giving me full creative rein, it really was a dream venue for this event♥️

Our incredible performers @iamcocostone and @ameliamarella and Felix - thank you for sharing your talents with us ♥️

And to my wonderful family and friends who helped me package goodie bags, set up the vibes and for always being on hand to help ♥️

Dino cake is banana sponge filled with a chocolate cream and Choco SMB icing.
Frozen cake features our signature Japanese sponge, strawberry, cream and meringue filling (think eton mess vibes) and vanilla SMB icing.
Always left with just crumbs once these bad boys go out
