There have been quite a few times I’ve felt a bit like a failure since becoming a mother — and much of that has been related to my ability to make money/work.

While I’m very blessed my husband recently got a promotion when I lost my main source of income to AI, I still wanted to do what I could to contribute to our finances. I have two degrees I worked very hard for. I have dreams of opening my own secondhand store.

But really, it’s about those little steps — the ones that are achievable when you have a few hours to pass your toddler off. The ones where your dear friend says, “I have room for you at my store’s market for you to sell your things!” (Thanks, @forevermorecoffee). The ones that don’t require days or months of planning.

A little market day is what I’ve needed to set a little spark in this mama’s soul.

Because I have bigger dreams that will be accomplished later, but for now, these moments are what fill me with gratitude — saving the earth and bringing secondhand items to new friends for an affordable price.

Done being sappy now. If you have a market and need a secondhand kids clothes or women’s clothes vendor, my DMs are open 🫶🏼
