ELON MUSK | EXTREME OBSESSION

📍 Character Overview:
Elon Musk built SpaceX and Tesla by putting everything on the line, surviving near-bankruptcy in 2008, and working 100+ hour weeks while sleeping on factory floors. With a net worth exceeding $200 Billion, his success is built on absolute obsession and work ethic that most cannot comprehend.

📍 Speaker: Elon Musk
🔥 Theme: Extreme Work Ethic, Obsession & Sacrifice

The Message:
If you want extraordinary results, you cannot expect ordinary effort. True obsession means staying in the trench when everyone else goes home, sleeping on the floor, and embracing the pain until the objective is secured. Excellence isn't given—it is forged in relentless grind.

3 Rules of Relentless Work:

Outwork Everyone: Put in hours that make competition impossible.

Embrace the Grind: Comfort is the enemy of high achievement.

No Half Measures: Go all-in until your vision becomes reality.

You’re saving every dollar for a life you keep forgetting to live…

You work, you save, and you keep telling yourself you’ll enjoy it later.

But later isn’t guaranteed.

Spend responsibly—but stop feeling guilty for using your money to create memories, take the trip, or actually enjoy the life you’re working so hard for.

Money comes back.

Time doesn’t.

You keep asking yourself, “Am I delusional?”

Good.

The people around you can’t see the vision because it isn’t theirs to see. That’s why their opinions start sounding louder than your own.

Don’t confuse doubt with reality.

The life you want will always sound impossible to the people who never planned on building one.

What’s one goal you’ve been second-guessing lately?

If you’re trying to build something of your own and don’t know where to start, or you’re looking to grow what you’ve already built, check out @petriello.ventures. It might give you a few ideas.

👇 Before you convince yourself you can’t…

Every version of your future starts with one decision.

Not the perfect plan.
Not the perfect timing.
Just deciding you’re done making excuses and finally taking that first step.

Nobody’s coming to build the life you want for you.

What’s one thing you’ve been putting off lately? 👇

Getting laughed at?

The people calling you delusional usually aren’t building anything themselves.

The second you start chasing something bigger, you’ll hear “that’s never gonna work,” “you’re embarrassing yourself,” or “be realistic.” They’re not trying to protect you… they’re trying to pull you back to what’s comfortable for them.

Keep building anyway.

You’ll keep waiting if…

…you convince yourself you need one more plan, one more sign, or one more perfect moment.

At some point, thinking turns into hiding.

Just move. You’ll figure out the rest along the way.

👇 This is why some people come out on top.

Most people think playing to win means screwing people over. It doesn’t.

It means refusing to play small just because it makes other people comfortable. You can be a good person and still be relentless. You can have principles and still compete like hell.

Too many people confuse being nice with avoiding ambition.

What’s your take?

When I walked away from a generational family business, everyone said I was making the biggest mistake of my life.

To them, having your name on a business was enough. To me, I felt like an employee in my own business. I couldn’t stand the traffic, the early mornings, or spending my life stuck in an office when I knew I could build a life with financial freedom and control over my own time.

Stop taking advice from people who aren’t living the life you want.

Some of the same people who questioned my decision are now asking me for advice.

You’re going to fail. Keep failing until you win. Success demands a price most people will never pay.

I’ve been a little harder to reach lately.

Not because anything’s wrong. Just focused.

Building, learning, working, improving, and trying to become a better version of myself every day.

The goal isn’t to be busy.
The goal is to make progress.
