Goodbye @spxcomics, hello Year 2.

Thank you friends for an amazing first year of Company Car! It has been a blessing to meet artists, make friends, and create projects all under the guise of “working” 😆 Many more books, shows, and projects planned for year 2, so hope to make and see all the most beautiful, talented, hardworking friends again! 🥂🍻

Stayed at the hotel for the first time ever and it was such a different experience than driving in each day! Hopefully will again next year!

Yesterday we hosted Eric Song (@plimbop) and Izzy Liu (@byizzyliu), the student winners of the 2026 Chiu-Yueh Lai Scholarship Award for Excellence in Comics & Narrative Art, as well as the scholarship's sponsor Chia-Jung Tsay.

Chia's generous support funds two $5,000 scholarships for emerging illustrators with a special focus on narrative art and comics as part of SI's Student Scholarship Competition. The scholarship was established by Chia in 2025 in honor of her late grandmother, a talented self-taught comic artist and educator from Taiwan who later moved to New York.

Swipe to see Eric and Izzy's award-winning pieces! ➡️
