our forever home.

last night I started packing our home up. I held onto our place as long as I could, but it will never be the same without you here beside me.

moving into this place was something neither of us could wait for, i think we truly would have moved in together the first month of knowing eachother - that’s how sure we were. there was no question we were meant to be my love, and you made sure of that.

driving our u-haul from innisfail, to my parents place, to yours and dexters place, we had nothing but grins on our face the whole day and excitement rushing through us. sleeping on our mattress in the middle of our room the first night, building our bed frame, figuring out where to hang our absurd amount of clothes, you taking the top (smaller) drawer in the bathroom and giving me the two bigger ones for all of my stuff. I wish I could relive that day, I wish I could relive everyday I was lucky enough to have with you.

thank you for making this house feel so loving and safe, for dancing in the kitchen with me, for taking care of me always, for making delicious meals, for leaving me notes around the house to remind me i’m beautiful, for bringing benji boy home with me and creating the start to our family.

I don’t know how I am supposed to let this place go, especially it being our forever first and last home. but the truth is, no place is going to bring you back or ever feel like home because you were my home. you are what made me feel safe, you were who knew me best.

I don’t really know why I keep posting because you are the only one I wish would respond and that I could talk to and be held by. But, enjoy these beautiful shots by @bykasskeating thank you for capturing these so I can keep them forever ♥️

a side note to cheer you up - my sweet, silly man would not let me take down that mistletoe. we got home with it a couple weeks after getting our place and he hung it up right away, once I was trying to clean up from christmas he says “what, noooo, it’s white come on. it can stay up all year!” It has been up there for almost two years since.

I love you forever my love, thank you for the life we got to live together. 🕊️
