I thought I'd reintroduce myself. My name is Chloé Jo Davis - hiiiiiii! I am a Mom of 3 boys (I had 3 under 5 and breastfed for 11 years), 7 rescued pets, and a foxy husband who I met as a child in Israel, and never saw again til a dirty bar on the LES in NYC - but never forgot (I share that story is in @victoriamoranauthor 's wonderful book "The Good Karma Diet.") I was born in Liverpool, UK to two modern Ortho Jews - one a New Yorker and one a Scouser. We wound up back in NYC by the time I was 4 where I attended UES yeshiva til 12 and moved on to Columbia Prep for high school, followed by NYU Tisch for draaaama for college. I have been a rock n roller, a reality tv star, a celebrity liaison for a large non profit, a downtown nightlife denizen, a volunteer, a writer, and many other things - all of which are still evolving at the tender age of 46 (hit up the press page on GGA if you want to read the dirty deets.) I love and adore this age of shedding what no longer suits (SO MUCH!) and unapologetically owning my power like the zaftig Jewish Gaia I am. We recently moved to Connecticut from NYC where I am learning to drive (watch out world!) and leaning into the burb life (see: my viral article in Business Insider.)

Now onto these overdue pix - my son Panther's bar mitzvah which we celebrated in May! I am currently penning a story (please do sign up for the newsletter via the site to read it when it comes out!) on the experience of throwing a mitzvah (aka WEDDING!) in a “post” Covidian world. We were drained in all the ways, but it was so worth it to see the smile on his face as he danced the night away with his homies and stuffed his gullet at the epic candy bar. I thought I'd kvell a little over my boys (all of whom are currently at sleepaway camp - yahoo... summer of love!) who are as funny, kind, and adorable as they are lucky.

A Chucky cake for the one and only Jack!

Funfetti cake (because ya know, Chucky, he’s fun!) with vanilla mascarpone filling

Oh so lovable Chucky is sculpted out of modeling chocolate then hand painted with gel color and luster dust. Details like his eyes and teeth are made of fondant.

Fun fact. After I had spent all this time painting his face I finally put on my glasses only to realize that all the luster dust I had used was full on sparkly metallic. Chucky was so glammed out it looked like he was ready for Studio 54! 😳
Needless to say there was a lot of scrambling to fix that screw up 😬
