Now on view at Wild East Brewing – “With Grace,” a photo exhibition by Nicholas Bailey.

The images capture joy, movement, and grace in various neighborhoods across Brooklyn.

We’re hosting an artist reception on Thursday, October 22, from 6pm to 8pm. Come grab a beer, meet Nicholas, and take in his vibrant photographs.

I’m excited to announce my latest solo photography exhibition, With Grace, officially open as of today. Curated by the amazing @arthagnyc, With Grace highlights movement, joy, and grace around Brooklyn, NY. Seven photos, seven scenes, all connected by grace and poise. This is also the largest I’ve ever printed any of my work, so I’m very excited for yall to see.

It’s funny man.. I was talking to my therapist recently and she told me that there ain’t much that makes me sound so excited and bright as when I’m talking about photography. That was cool to hear because truly, it’s easily my favorite thing on the planet to do. I feel naked when I leave the crib without a camera (which I rarely do lol, but still). I love to capture the world, my people, strangers, excitement, unseen minor moments, all of it and everything in between. I been at this for like 20 years in some form or fashion and the passion still growing more each day.

The last few years, I’ve stopped to capture photos during Eid (sad I can’t make it out today). It’s always been a beautiful, spiritual welcome and I’m honored to always capture these moments & faces. 🤲🏾🧎🏾‍➡️❤️ and a bit of these, I’ve never posted or shared before, so enjoy.

Excited to announce my two latest books: Sights and Seens: Volume 1 (2026 Reissue) and Sights and Seens: Volume 2 📚 both published and released today.

With almost 250 pages between the two books, these are my love letters to the world of photography, my communities, my favorite places, cultures around the world and more. Volume 1 is an extended, updated reissue of the 2023 book in a new hardcover format, featuring all of the original photos plus others never before printed. Volume 2 features photography from the last 2.5 years, showcasing some of my favorite sights and “seens” I’ve come across.

The books are both 6” x 9”, featuring a full wraparound image hardcover, and each order will be hand-signed by me on the inner title page.

Behind the Photo: in this vid, I’m chatting about my December 2022 photograph “It’s a bird, it’s a plane!” — a nod to the old Superman cartoons. I love this photo because there’s such an interesting contrast between the mom’s reaction and the kid’s reaction to whatever’s in the sky. I almost love that I didn’t turn around to see what they saw, but I just know the possibilities are endless because we’re in NYC after all lol.
