I can’t tell you how much I love absolutely everything about this video. A bunch of friends, sitting around a fire on the patch of flat land that we managed to free up by moving fences on our property.

Sitting under the stars, under the warm light of the fairy lights, surrounded by the trees. Nobody is performing, everyone is just enjoying the company and singing with each other. People are forgetting lyrics, making up harmonies, forgetting the chords, and just generally bumbling about inside the music. But nobody is offended, nobody is disappointed, it’s just a free space in which to play and be nourished by the music. I had friends in the circle, who weren’t feeling very sociable, but who were able to be here because there was no conversation, just song.

Best birthday present ever and I’m super grateful to all who made it possible. Some of the people in this circle I’ve played with for the first time, some I’ve been playing with for 30 years!

I’m gonna continue to call in more of this in my life. Especially as I spend more time writing and recording and performing. The counterpoint has to be a free form no pressure playtime, where everyone is welcome.

I’m so grateful! 🙏🔥🥰

I’m lucky to spend many a weekend each year at amazing festivals with incredible humans. I feel privileged to do this and it fills my cup more than words can express.

@zenfestival_ is absolutely one of my favourites, as wholesome as it gets! So when I was invited onto the committee a few years ago, how could I say no! Some say, this one was the best yet… but I think they were all ‘the best’, it’s just that the latest is fresh! Fresh is best!

I didn’t take many photos… I was busy having cups of tea, jamming in camp, jamming around the fire, jamming on stage, performing with @theshakticollective.au , supporting @bearnhardtmusic, @alicraneacoustic & @shanti_sound , offering zenthai treatments, swimming in the creek and dancing until I could dance no more! Plus keeping the festival wheels spinning!

Special highlights for me included the last jam on stage, too tired to stand I was using the cajon as a foot rest and @laverdemuso offered me the trumpet in exchange for the guitar… now i just have to figure out how to make the notes!

These few clips are all I can offer for now…. enjoy.

Massive thanks to everyone that said YES and my festival organiser buddies… @rudiquinzalez & @soularlove_ - love you guys! 🥰🙏🌈🌸🧚

See you on the last weekend of Sept 2027!

I love the warm shades of yellow and orange flowers,
so @byron_hillier planted this beautiful native tree for me
🥰

From now on, every winter, I get to make these gorgeous flower arrangements from its blooms 💛🧡
