Happy Closing to the amazing cast, crew, and creative team that brought my 1980s-infused production of Moliere’s TARTUFFE (translated by the great Ranjit Bolt) to vibrant, playful, neon-tinged life at @cleveplayhouse! I am exceedingly proud and ever grateful…

Come into the room where the cast and crew of the Cleveland Play House production of Tartuffe meets for the first time! This production draws inspiration from iconic 80s-era sitcoms and sensational headlines to heighten the play’s satire. “Tartuffe has always been about a community dazzled by a fraud,” says O’Connell. “Setting it amid the bright colors, bold laughs, and outsized personalities of 1980s television lets the comedy sparkle while keeping the story’s sting intact.”

Dear Michael. This was from our closing party of The Full Monty in 2007. You and @jackjlane @gayle_seay @lisacampbellalbert and Stephen Bourneuf assembled the six silliest clowns to play the leads of this show. We were rambunctious idiots at times and you were so patient with us because you knew that our bonding offstage would lead to magic onstage. You allowed us to find our characters together and you ALWAYS answered every question with a smile and service to the characters and the show. We also developed an 18 year friendship and feel forever a part of what you and Jack called “The Stages Family.” If all of us could show the compassion and kindness that you gave to people, the world would be a much better place. I will miss you, dear friend and thank you for the magic. #michaelhamilton

✨ Nel volto estatico… ✨

Some #latergrams of the most delightful production of #LaCenerentola with @toledo_opera these past few weeks. We closed this special show on Sunday and I’m already missing this wonderful crew 😭 Thanks from the bottom of my heart to such a lovely and talented cast, company, chorus, orchestra @toledosymphony , and team. It was truly a pleasure working and making music with each one of you! 👑💖
