Stillness reveals, movement conceals. Both works presented began with the same question: “How can I interpret this moment of stillness between myself and the elements?” The Chameleon was inspired by the wind - a phenomenon that is ever-present, always felt, yet unseen. The colour of the artwork deliberately mirrors the colour of the skirt, allowing the observer, the wind, to become the observed. hence, the personification of the wind through an eye. Crosswaves came as a result of four instances of light occurring at once, with the myself positioned at the centre of it all. In this work, the wind is given the persona of an eye, as it is a phenomenon which observes every moment in our lives in silence.
