Vulnerability is hard. When a woman is opening up to share her story, there are times she might not know what to say next. If you can tell she is struggling, consider the questions below provide a gentle prompt to help her move forward.

“How did that make you feel?”

“What happened next?”

Sometimes all a woman needs is direction to continue sharing her story.

Let’s draw strength from the faithfulness of believers in the underground church in countries where conversion to Christianity is illegal. The refugees who flee to Germany because they have come to faith in Jesus Christ can pay a high price of persecution. Often the authorities go after their family members in the country of origin even after they have fled. It is a dangerous decision to follow Jesus and yet these dear brothers and sisters in Christ are relentless in their devotion.

Please continue to pray:

*wisdom as we connect with the laborers who are building the kingdom
*opportunities to share the Gospel and plant seeds
*intentional moments and patience with the language barrier

It’s meant to be encouraging, but when you are drowning in a heavy chapter, it just makes you feel like you are failing. Here’s why:

When we tell a sister she can handle it on her own, we place the weight right back on her shoulders.

And we reinforce three dangerous lies:

Her exhaustion is a sign of weak faith.

She has to pull herself up by her spiritual bootstraps.

She must mask her pain to keep others comfortable.

Let’s be a safe place to be heard, and remember that it is God who holds all things together, not us.

Luke 10 says that Jesus is sending out His followers into his harvest fields which are plentiful. He calls believers to pray for more laborers because the harvest of people ready to respond to His message is greater than the amount of laborers. Laboring well means planting seeds for the gospel and discipling others so that the impact is multiplied.

This brother in Christ who works in Western Europe has done research about how sharing your story and being vulnerable are at the heart of being a laborer.

Write laborer in the comments below is you’d like us to pray for you and your desire to live a sent life. ✝️🌎💪

A year ago, a small group of people gathered in a living room together for the first time to pray and lock arms together for the sake of the gospel.

On September 21, Sanctuary Church publicly launched as a new expression of God‘s church.

We’re planting this church in the heart of our city. This community has been our home for the last nine years and we feel a sense of spiritual burden for this area. We love Spring Branch and want to see an outpouring of the Spirit in this region.

Our prayer is that God will do far more abundantly than we can ask or imagine.

We’re so grateful for the countless people and churches who have prayed and supported this new gospel work.

Rubi + Lymar — a love rooted in faith and celebrated in joy. From the heartfelt vows to the joyful “I do,” their wedding at C3 Church was nothing short of divine. Surrounded by family, friends, and the presence of God, these two said yes to forever—and the love in the room was undeniable.

This wasn’t just a wedding, it was a worship-filled celebration of true love, purpose, and connection.

After nearly nine years on staff, this past Sunday we were officially commissioned by @c3houstontx to plant @sanctuary_htx .

C3 has been an incredible gift to us and we thank God often for our community, especially the best friends that he’s given us over the years of life together. It’s impossible to put into words what this church means to us. C3 will forever be part of our story.

We’re full of hope and expectation for what God has in store for Sanctuary Church. Over the last six months, God has grown our community into something really special. Grateful for each of these friends who are locking arms with us for the sake of the gospel.

My prayer for this next season is that we begin to see a movement of God take place in West Houston. A movement of the Spirit that’s so tangible and obvious and significant that we could never take credit for it. I pray that God would do “far more than we could ever imagine” in our neighborhoods – that Spring Branch would become a pocket of Houston that has been won by the power of the gospel.

“Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord.
Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known” (Hab. 3:2)
