Filmed last summer, produced in 2ish days with friends, based off a one page screenplay I wrote for @soaroverhate in 2024. This is for the dolls who dream of a love as special and ordinary like everyone else.

new tune out with @colorsxstudios 🩶 “Silver Lining (Better Off)”! swipe for the story

wrote this in the winter with @randyclass and @jai_obi at the @splice × @colorsxstudios × @ableton camp at @platinumsoundny, and of all the music made this tune was selected for distribution

It was my first writing camp and my first time writing a song with mainly samples

I still sang the bgvs of course

Randy and Jai locked in on the production. We were the smallest group in the camp and we learned quickly that Randy, Jai and I are all from NYC and Afro Latino 🇩🇴🇵🇷 none of us had ever met before

With two sessions between 2 days, a keys solo by @tasyarifalia and the help of our amazing engineer @iamsmvack we finished the tune

and the rest is history! thank you to the @colorsxstudios and @splice teams for believing in this tune 🫶🏾

We’re so excited to announce that the Song of Lip and Tarantula will have its world premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival/PBH’s Free Fringe @ccbloomsedinburgh this summer!!!

After a tragic “accident” leaves her estranged trans-sister Tarantula dead on the concrete, Lip brings Tarantula’s body home, steals her unborn baby, and starts making a Shabbat dinner that she believes will bring Tarantula back to life along with their 26 trans children.

My last shoot after 4 years with @archdigest !!!! This was one of my favorite shoots & it felt especially meaningful getting to film during the final season of @colbertlateshow. The show brought such beautiful life back to one of NYC’s historic theaters, and I’m hopeful its history continues. So grateful for this experience and for everyone who helped make it happen.
