Gracias to Crates and Plates, Maleet, Big Jack, Christina, and Doughboy Johnny’s for creating a space to celebrate hip-hop culture and making this amazing experience possible this past Sunday.🙏🏼

I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to meet one of the greatest emcees to ever bless the mic — Masta Ace.🫡🎤💎

I was 11 when I first heard his iconic verse on Marley Marl’s 1988 classic “The Symphony,” and I had it on repeat, rewinding the track over and over again.

Let’s be clear, mi gente — from his debut album Take a Look Around to the timeless, hard-hitting storytelling of Slaughtahouse, Disposable Arts, and A Long Hot Summer, the list of classics goes on and on.Two recent classics — A Breukelen Story and Richmond Hill — represent one of the greatest team-ups in hip-hop history, with Marco Polo bringing the candela through his production and Masta Ace delivering some of the sharpest bars in the game.

And it got even better with Marco Polo and Leschea in the building. You both made this experience even more special, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to speak with me.🙏🏼

Gracias, Masta Ace, for providing the soundtrack to my youth — and for continuing to inspire generations with your pen, stories, and dedication to the culture. Pa’lante! 🫡🙏🏼✨

Fedora brought to you by Bollman Hat Co & Bailey.🙏🏼

When I moved to Brooklyn in 2001, I brought my father’s Marantz 2235 B amp with me from Toronto. Space was tight, my setup was different, and without much thought I gave it to my boy Oscar @rawtalentproz .

Years later after my pops passed away I learned it was a rare piece — but more importantly, it was my father’s. I asked for it back, and Oscar graciously returned it. 🙏🏻

Now it’s the heart of my studio. Every sound, every idea, every record I’ve made since moving to New Jersey has passed through this amp — its tubes, its EQ, its warmth.

I like to believe that means I’m always creating with my father’s energy in the room. R.I.P. @fpbruno43

Shout out to my pops.
This amp isn’t going anywhere.
It’ll live in my studio forever. ❤️

P.S.Shouts to @_maleet_ x @c_is_for_courage for getting it serviced while I was on the road. ♥️🙏🏻
