Dear Cabryn,

Today you turn 18, and I find myself feeling every emotion all at once… pride, love, joy, and that huge ache that comes with watching your baby boy grow into a man.

From the moment I first held you, you were fierce. You’ve never been afraid to be exactly who you are — bold, funny, sharp, kind, and full of a fire that sets you apart. Your mouth will lead you to trouble, but your heart… your heart is one of the best things I know😢❤️🥰

I love that you’re a mama’s boy — you always have been, and I’ll never take that for granted. Even when we fight it out, we both know it’s because we’re cut from the same cloth — stubborn, strong-willed, passionate, and fiercely loyal. We may argue, but we are also each other’s fiercest defenders. No one’s got my back like you, and I’ll always have yours.

You’ve never backed down from life, Cab. You’ve faced hard things with courage and stood up for yourself when it mattered most. You walk through this world with quiet strength, and I admire that more than I can say. I love that you do it your way💕

And more than anything, I want you to know you’ve made me a better person. A better mom. Loving you — learning from you — has changed me in all the best ways. You’ve taught me patience, humility, and how to admit when I’ve messed up as a mama.

Watching you step into adulthood, watching the man you’re becoming fills my heart with so much gratitude and hope. I know God has big plans for you, and I’m eternally thankful He chose me to be your mom🩷 It’s been the greatest honor of my life to raise you, to love you, and spend precious time with you.

I’m proud of you, Cabryn. So, so proud. And I can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds😘

Love you more than words,
Mama
