For many of my clients in their mid 30s and beyond, weekend outfits can be the hardest to get right - especially when they want to feel a little dressed up for dinner without being overdone.

Texture, colour and accessories are three key components I consider when creating an outfit. Whether the texture comes through the clothing, the accessories or both, it adds so much depth and interest.

For this look, I’ve kept the colours tonal, and layered luxurious textures for an elevated dinner outfit.

I’m always a sucker for luxurious satin - it makes an outfit feel instantly elegant and elevated. Whether you layer satin together, or pair a piece of it back with denim, leather, knitwear or linen, it’s always a great option for a dressy dinner look.

These @cablemelbourne satin pants & knit top are both statement separates that look great styled individually or together for a day to night aesthetic.

My @zara satin bomber in a contrasting shade adds another layer, while my @scanlantheodore feather bag brings even more texture. Finishing with a @casacaprijewellery gold necklace & @Zara pointed kitten heels for a little extra metallic detailing.

Austin Group, the owner of Gazman, Cable and Perri Cutten, has named former Hobart store worker and tech exec Ben Groom as its new CEO.

Groom joins the group from his role of chief technology officer at Miller Knoll. He succeeds co-owner Will Austin as CEO, who will now transition to group chairman.

September was a busy one 👀

A custom suit in the works, a little media moment I was very proud of, lots of client shopping, wedding tux fittings, attempting some questionable dance moves with Yoyo, getting back into some old wardrobe favourites, wearing some new ones, and plenty of good food and people in between.

Bermuda shorts are the perfect fashion piece to take you through the transeasonal weather we are experiencing right now, and through into the summer months 🙌🏻

Add a bomber or blazer when it’s cool, then strip back the layers for a simple, pared back summer look when the weather heats up.

I’m always looking for ways to bring texture into an outfit, and I love crochet, and lightweight, textured knits for summer.
