As we fall deeper into purity culture, is Miami an alluring anecdote or a gilded escape? We looked for the answer in strip clubs and steeples, in the tension between Art Basel and Amendment bans, in the studios of six South Florida artists working in charcoal, pole, camera, and canvas. Two Sides of @cachofalconart — 2026 Acrylic and POSCA marker on watercolour paper A4 each, 21 × 29.7 cm Every portrait begins with a conversation. Sometimes it happens the other way around. I’ve always been quite introverted. In 2013, while studying drawing in Vence with my Czech-born teacher Fanta, who had made France his home, I started spending my afternoons drawing portraits of people I met. Something changed. Drawing someone changes the rhythm of an encounter. You stay a little longer. You look more carefully. You listen differently. What might have been a brief conversation can suddenly become something more intimate. Since then, I’ve often carried a sketchbook with me when I travel. Sometimes a conversation becomes a portrait. Sometimes a portrait opens a conversation. Two Sides of Chacho is part of a new series that brings these encounters into a more graphic, pop language: simple lines, strong colours and real people met along the way. Over the next months I’ll be sharing more of these portraits, together with fragments of the conversations and places behind them. Each work in the series is an original and will be available for purchase. The full body of work will lead towards a spring exhibition on Lake Maggiore, where the portraits will come together for the first time. More faces, more conversations, soon. #Artistas: ¡Presentamos a Cacho Falcon! A través de la pintura, la fotografía, la performance, el body painting y el collage, Cacho construye un lenguaje visual donde la memoria se revela como un conjunto de recuerdos que cambian y adquieren nuevos significados con el paso del tiempo. Cada obra propone un espacio abierto, invitando al espectador a completarla desde su propia mirada. Su recorrido comenzó en 1998, cuando transformó prendas de denim en lienzos para contar historias personales nacidas del diálogo con sus protagonistas. Más adelante, llevó esa búsqueda al cuerpo humano, utilizando la piel como un soporte efímero para explorar la vulnerabilidad, la confianza y los vínculos. Con el tiempo, su obra evolucionó de la figuración hacia la abstracción, convirtiendo las huellas en símbolos de los caminos que recorremos. En sus collages, fotografías, pinturas y materiales encontrados se entrelazan para reflejar la memoria tal como la vivimos: cambiante, fragmentada y siempre en construcción. ¡Bienvenido, Cacho!
