Cade Michael Simones is one of our 2024 top ten students.🎓

Cade is attending the University of Minnesota Duluth, majoring in accounting or finance. As he looks to his future at UMD, Cade says, “I am excited about UMD because there is a lot to do around the campus and the city.”

Activities and athletics that Cade participated in while at Cathedral included:
• Varsity Football for 3 years, Captain his senior year
• Varsity Baseball for 3 years, Captain his senior year
• Hockey, 10th & 11th grade, participated on the State team in 2023
• NHS
• Spanish NHS
• Student Ambassador

Cade’s favorite memories at Cathedral are from playing sports with his friends or spending time with them during open periods.

His favorite class was AP Microeconomics.

When asked what he is most proud of from his time at Cathedral, Cade said, “I am most proud that I am going to graduate from Cathedral with my friends.”

One lesson Cade learned at Cathedral and will carry with him is, “If I have free time to get some work done, just do it because I won’t want to do it later; also, do not procrastinate.”

Cade wants to share advice with younger students: “Play all the sports and activities you can because that is where you make the best friends.”

Cade expressed heartfelt gratitude to his parents, friends, and coaches. He said, “Thank you to my parents for giving me many opportunities and support throughout high school. Thank you to my friends for providing all the good memories. Finally, thank you to my teachers and coaches for being there for me and helping me along my journey.”

We are so proud of Cade and cannot wait to see what his future holds!💙💛
