running 34 miles with my guys is something I’ll always be able to look back on and to see those around me, pushing themselves, determined to cross the finish line, getting to know those around me in the midst of the race, having conversations about life while doing one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life, is something I’ll always carry with me. Two freshman guys, determined to run promise land and train alongside me was incredible. Blessed to have these boys and for their willingness. Grateful to witness Jake and this huge accomplishment. To see the parents of my best friend (who proposed to his girlfriend later that day, insane) commit to something so difficult alongside two of their sons is what I aspire to be. This race brought me so much more than Patagonia shorts and bragging rights. I’m so blessed to have had my family watch me cross the finish line. Thank you Jesus for the ability to move and for community like no other.
