Meet Cade Smith, one of the instructors leading our brand-new Hands-On Studio at the Artisan Atelier, IWCE 2027 in Tampa! Cade owns The Curtain Call Nashville, Galere Installations and Ironsmith Drapery Hardware. Since taking over The Curtain Call in 2023, he's grown it from a one-person shop into a team of 20, with satellite offices in Edmonton and Mexico City. His specialty is hand-sewn drapery that blends English and American techniques. (And yes, those are his dogs!) His hands-on class: ▫️ Relax, It's Only a Roman Shade: Relaxed Roman Shade Variations · Tue, March 16, 12:00–1:00 PM New this year: Hands-On Studio classes are ticketed, and each one has only 20 seats, so they're expected to sell out fast! You'll find them listed with the IWCE classroom seminars when you register. Early bird pricing is open now (link in bio). Everything else at the Artisan Atelier (live demos, panels and vignettes) is still free to enjoy on the show floor. Two more chances to learn from Cade Smith at the Artisan Atelier, and these two are free! Missed a seat in his Relaxed Roman Shade Hands-On class? Or just can't get enough of his hand-sewn drapery blending English and American techniques? Find him here: ▫️ The Long Game: Interlining Strategies for Weight, Drape & Light Control · Eyes & Ears · Mon, March 15, 3:15–4:00 PM ▫️ String Theory: Italian Stringing & Operable Draw-up Mechanics · Studio Table demo · Tue, March 16, 3:00–4:00 PM Studio Table demos, Eyes & Ears presentations and panels at the Artisan Atelier are free to attend on the IWCE show floor, March 15–16. Early bird registration for IWCE 2027 is open now (link in bio). 📍 Tampa Convention Center · March 14–16, 2027 #IWCE2027 #ArtisanAtelier #CustomDrapery #DraperyWorkroom #WindowTreatments

When I asked my best friends, “So… Punta Cana for my 35th?” I never could’ve imagined a week like this. 🥹 Watching people I love travel from near and far to celebrate me is something I’ll never take for granted. It was so special to see all my friends from different facets of my life come together and blend seamlessly as if they’d known each other forever. ❤️ Thank you for the love, the laughs, the late nights, the mems, for showing up for me, and of course for always being the last ones to shut the club down with me! 35 has never felt so loved. I love y’all endlessly. ✨
