POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This weekend some of our paratroopers and family members volunteered at the inaugural @cafairbasegeorgia Moonlight Swing Dance to celebrate our Greatest Generation and the 250th anniversary of the United States. Our paratroopers and family members provided background history on WWII and the U.S. Army Airborne, transporting guests back to the 1940s.

The highlight of the evening was honoring 11th Airborne Division Veteran, Mercer Fisher, with a set of All Airborne Battalion Wings and a team patch that was recently jumped at the 82nd D-Day Commemorations in Normandy. They also spent time with two members of the French Resistance and had fellowship with the amazing volunteers of the Commemorative Air Force who help preserve our history everyday. If you are near a CAF Wing, please consider volunteering and help educate, inspire and keep ‘em flying!

Thanks to all the volunteers who made the evening possible. Thank you also to the primary sponsor, Delta Airlines and all the other sponsors who enabled the event.

Hollywood meets Air Force talent!

16 active-duty musicians from the @usafe_band helped bring JIMMY to life, appearing on screen AND recording music for the soundtrack! 🎶

The film tells the incredible story of Jimmy Stewart, from Hollywood legend to World War II bomber pilot.

👏 Shoutout to the @caf1957 helping bring this piece of aviation history to the big screen!
