Come join us Thursday night at @cafe333kc! Heidi and I will kick things off with a duo set for the first hour, then open it up to any singers who want to perform some jazz or Golden Age MT tunes! (Instrumentalists are also welcome, of course, but we want this to be a singer-friendly hang.) And because Café 333 is a sober jazz bar, high school and <21 college students are welcome! So stop by, order some tapas, grab a (fantastic) mocktail, sing some tunes, and spend an evening with us!

Had dinner with @kayla.caruthers at @cafe333kc and it was sooooo delicious. Not pictured is the prosciutto crostini because they were so good we forgot to take pictures lol. Huge fan of the everything, but especially the fact that the mocktails taste like mocktails and not just juice. Drinks here are a Southwest 333 and a Brass and Honey

This came free! Was a mango sorbet with a balsamic vinaigrette which works better than you think it would

Braised pork torta. I will be thinking about her for a while. Also the wonderful truffle fries

This is called a Breakup Remedy, and it’s chocolate, taro, and Diet Coke. It’s not overly sweet (one of the highest compliments I can pay)

It’s called a Financier and if you ask me to pronounce it I will decline. Almond cake with pear sorbet I believe

Banana Jazz! I actually really loved this despite the fact that I am not bananas for bananas

Last night, I checked out Kansas City’s first sober bar, and it was such a fun night out! 🤍

Amazing mocktails, even better food, and meaningful conversation with two women who have been such an important part of my journey. So grateful for their friendship!

If you’re in Kansas City, give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Good food, great friends, and a night worth celebrating.

Met up with new friends at @cafe333kc in Kansas City, Kansas. The food was amazing and totally worth it. The flavors were incredibly balanced with each ingredient. 10/10 recommend—will definitely eat here again!

Being on a sober journey, sometimes you miss being around live music and feeling the vibe of a bar.

Having the opportunity to experience the energy of a sober environment last night was so good.

They even have a full food menu too! Their handcrafted drinks are so crispy and fresh. Thursday nights are also cabaret nights so anyone can hop up and 🎶

I know the owner from our days in Burlesque around KC, and when I tell you Cori has done an absolutely incredible job on 333, I still wouldn’t do the place justice. This babe really did it.

So if you’re in the Kansas City Metro Area come check them out!

We’re starting a 9 week CRAFT group training cohort for partners and families. I’ll be teaching the research proven most effective protocol for loved ones to motivate recovery. This is not what they talk about in AlAnon - CRAFT has a 75% success rate in getting addicted loved ones into treatment. Starting September 21st we will go over the full protocol in a supportive group setting (message me to see if your situation is a good fit for this).
