Southern comfort food with a twist in Downtown Knoxville🍴

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We recently went on a roadtrip to Knoxville, TN mainly to visit the @xulbeer brewery🍻 but ended up enjoying the city WAY more than expected!

Downtown Knoxville was super walkable. And the FOOD!!! I had no idea Knoxville had such a good food scene! Everything we tried was amazing and, compared to Orlando, pretty reasonably priced for what we got. Our favorites were @chismosoknox and @cafe_4 (still thinking about them and wish they were closer🤤) We also had some great coffee at @bestiabloomscafe and @awaken_coffee, which is inside the most beautiful historic building and has such relaxing vibes. And @arethafrankensteins absolutely killed it for breakfast and has such a fun atmosphere.

Long story short, we went to Knoxville for the beer and left wondering why nobody told us Knoxville was so good😂 I had a MUCH better time than I ever expected and would absolutely go back in a heartbeat. 🧡

Hungry? Good thing we’re close to some of the best spots to grab lunch or dinner in Knoxville.

All located in Downtown Knoxville, here are a couple of places within a couple miles of River’s Edge.

A little crispy, a little spicy, and something chocolatey to finish. 😋

@cafe_4 is serving its Knoxville Vegan Chef Challenge menu during regular business hours throughout September, with the exception of weekend brunch (Sat & Sun, 9am–3pm).

Have you tried their lineup yet?!

This is the kind of food that will have your non-vegan friends and family seriously impressed:

🍄 Chicken Fried Mushrooms / fried hen of the woods, truffle salt, black truffle dipping sauce and chives
🍔 Bayou “Burger” / panko-crusted pinto bean patty, spicy remoulade, dill pickles, crispy onions and fries
🍫 Death By Chocolate (GF) / chocolate cake, ganache, chocolate sauce, brandy cherries and whipped cream

There’s still time to make a Café 4 stop before the Knoxville VCC ends September 30!

Once you’ve tried the menu, a Google review can help show the restaurant that these new vegan options are appreciated ❤️

Presented in partnership with @knoxvegan and sponsored by @rubusk9 and @loxsalon!

Big table, big bowl. The @cafe_4 punch bowls serve 4 or 8, so nobody’s stuck ordering round after round.

Tropical Sangria, Brunch Punch, or the Seasonal Spritz Bowl pick your table’s flavor.

Some friendships are just special. 💕 My sweet friend came to town last week to be here for Evan’s baptism, and having her fly across the country for this special day meant so much to me. 🙏

We also squeezed in some much-needed girl time—lunch at Café 4, a relaxing spa day, lake time, family time, and lots of laughs!

So thankful for our friendship of 20 years. ❤️

By day, it’s locally roasted coffee brewed and poured with intention. ☕

By night, it transforms into an Espresso Martini. It’s bold, it’s sweet, and it’s just the right kind of pick-me-up.

We hope you stop by for a sip.
