Today’s July Alpha Crew catch up at the one the only VaTutto was another great gathering.

This time around we had Big Bad Bruce Hatfield, WFF El Presidente Graeme Lancefield, Big Tony Haranas and yours truly in attendance.

Was nice to hear about Graeme’s WFF travels this year with the WFF contests in Cameroon and China later this month and in August respectively.

Once again the conversations were both entertaining and educational with politics, geography, history, bodybuilding, health, training and nutrition topics all on the table.

My Tasmanian oysters, Pumpkin & Ricotta Ravioli and VaTutto signature Pavlova were all exquisite, as was the usual superb service!

The presentation of the official Alpha Crew caps occurred today. Those that were missing in action will be given theirs at our next meeting.

Was also a tradition to finish our sumptuous luncheon with an espresso and Sicilian jam donuts at the very cool Cafe TreFontane just a few shops down the road in Ivanhoe.

Thank you, fine Gentlemen, I look forward to reconvening in September!

👍👌💪👊🤩💙

☕️Cafe Tre Fontane
218 Upper Heidelberg Rd, Ivanhoe, VIC.

Cafe Tre Fontane. A true sicilian style espresso bar in Ivanhoe. Bringing full old school italian vibes. Super classic spot.

They serve Italian style coffee, treats, food and even some coffee gear. Their sicilian donuts are especially well known. Everyone says they are delicious!

It’d been a while since I’d see a Faema machine in Aus too. Such a classic, reliable Italy machine.

I had a Doppio. Pretty dark roasted coffee beans with a nice bitterness and sweetness. Clean and chocolaty, exactly what you expect from proper italian style coffee☕️👌

☕️ MLB // Welcome to @cafe_tre_fontane old school Italiana espresso bar, conveniently spotted across the road from last nights wine bar. This is a cafe you could easily walk past if you’re not paying attention, which would be a mistake.

Talking to Marcello, one of the owners, he told us that the family run business has been going for 25 years - you can feel the soul in the store. Specializing in espresso’s (obviously) they have created their own personalised coffee blend and the window is stacked with freshly baked breads and sicilian donuts.

Chairs, tables and umbrellas line the footpath outside where you can sit and decide whether or not to order another donut, where the answer is probably going to be yes.
